November in Ohio, one day it is freezing cold and the next it is time for a picnic down by the river....everyone likes a picnic....Almost everyone in town knows about York Park... down by the river.. for most walking distance from their homes.... as a child it was a special place to go, to walk on the floodwall or swing on the swings...watching the boats and bardges floating down the river.... as a young adult to set on a bench under a tree, looking out at the water and solve the world's problems.. as an adult, during the day, bring the family, meet new friends, walk the dog.. or get something delish to eat
During the fall evenings, laying on a blanket, by yourself or with someone you care about looking at the stars while enjoying a cup of hot chocolate and listening to the cheers of the crowd, down in the stadium, for their favorite team at the football game... never ending enjoyment on a budget...... if you were ambitious you could walk down to the bridge and walk out to see the river from a different view..... or.. you could walk in the other direction and go down to the "point" and pick up a footer and hot fudge milkshake on the way from the deri-cream... the "point" is known as the place to enjoy your footer...
