Am I a hyphen? Or a dash? You decide! One well-known use of a hyphen is to join words with a combined meaning, but the fact that no spaces are used might not be as well known. Now a dash, on the other hand, has a space on either side - and you can see how lovely I look when used this way!

Officially we are known as lobster claws and we are ready and set to reach out and grab on to all you favourite items but did you know with a little ingenuity and creativity we can be whatever you please. Alien horns? Antlers? Hammer claws for chiseling? You are limited only by your own imagination! But us? Well, for the time being we are happy just being disarticulated lobster claws.

Be sure to wrap my string firmly round your paw, hoof, claw or trotter, or tie me to something heavy if you don’t want to lose me!

My siblings and I come dressed in our best party colours to celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday.
