Although I was initially created to help shape pottery, I’ve barely had a day’s rest since, as my creators soon began employing me to mill cereal and to move the platforms on which they carried slabs of rock and other heavy materials! Throughout history, my form has changed, but my basic shape remains the same, enabling the motion required to drive vehicles, engines, cogs, gears and all manner of moving parts!
