Achiever Beaver surveys a clear stream cascading through the mountains and makes plans to build a new dam. A stream this large will require a curvilinear superstructure on a strong foundation of deciduous logs. The spillways will require some calculation, and the top of the dam will be a boardwalk of planed spruce. Fortunately, all the building materials Achiever Beaver needs for the new dam were growing along the banks of the stream.

During his rare times of rest, Achiever Beaver munches on tree bark and admires his handiwork. The graceful arc of a completed dam is truly a thing of beauty, and chewed logs come in so many amazing sizes and shapes. The expansion to his lodge has a distinctly postmodernist style.
