Brrr! When your paws are cold, finding a shelter might make you think that this is exactly where you want to warm up. Honestly, if I were you, after opening that door and catching a whiff, you might want to stomp your paws and keep moving.

No pet can recall who once lived - or still lives - within the manor. Pets regularly dare each other to visit the manor, almost becoming a right of passage to enter alone. Those pets who are brave enough return with stories of being followed, seeing shadows, and pawfalls they couldn't find.

Today's trip starts with the pets being picked up by motor vehicles. They try to catch sight of signposts to give a clue to their destination! The train stops for them to stretch paws, flippers and wings exploring a path through a snowy forest and on the way back they encounter a little creature clad in red and white trying out his skis! Back on board the journey through winter vistas continues until sunset. The train puffs its way across a stunning viaduct and on into the mist, before pulling up at the station where it is just a short distance to that night's house. Here the pets can explore the spacious interior including the library and wind down from their enjoyable trip out with hot chocolate topped with whipped cream and cinnamon.

Be careful as you travel your way across the expansive desert. The dunes seem to change their positions at will, making it easy to become lost.

To welcome your pet at the start of this area of the quest will be some very friendly and familiar little creatures. They enjoy attention and in particular they love being fed some tasty treats, so your pet should not go empty-pawed! The route then proceeds through countryside where a variety of attractive, not to say cute, animals and birds will be waiting to say “Hello” to your pet.

Your pet faces a challenging time negotiating the bewildering path to the middle of a twilit labyrinth, with only a few flickering flares lighting the way. Just as the end appears nigh, the track doubles back on itself and leads even further away . . . The tree-lined route is dark and a little eerie! All sorts of creatures are waiting to greet your pet along the way. Some have a scary reputation—but have no fear! The little spider is quite cute and the snake and scorpion might alarm with their appearance but rest assured, they will not hurt a single hair of your pet’s fur or a single wing feather! The evening sky is clear over the Savannah and all is quiet. Cozy inside their cave dwelling, early PnF ancestors would gather around the fire pit and dine on the day’s catch, as well as some tasty scavenged roots and leaves for a salad of sorts. Many a story was told in gestures and in the paintings on the wall, left for millennia, to be found by those of us who came after.

Gorgeous in both color and texture, you’ll enjoy creating art that spans the past and the present.

The wall of paws reflects, perhaps, man’s first attempt at graffiti tagging. Paw prints were left as a “Hello” to all those who came after. Much like modern man, our PnF ancestors had a yearning to leave a mark, a lasting “I, too, was here.”

If you close your eyes, you can almost hear what our PnF ancestors heard so long ago, the thunder of a thousand hooves, beating over the plains, wild herds that would eventually lead to the long-standing relationship between man and horse. During his rare times of rest, Achiever Beaver munches on tree bark and admires his handiwork. The graceful arc of a completed dam is truly a thing of beauty, and chewed logs come in so many amazing sizes and shapes. The expansion to his lodge has a distinctly postmodernist style. Achiever Beaver sometimes wishes he had the ability to wax poetic because surely such works of art are worthy of panegyrics. Really! Who has time for musing when his dam spillway has come loose and is draining too much water? Achiever Beaver grabs his toolbox and rushes back to work.

As you hike along the winding trails of the rolling green Jellybean Hills, you hear the rushing sound of a milk chocolate stream cascading into a thundering waterfall. If you carefully creep up to the bank and hold on to a purple candy rock, you can fill your bottles and sip sumptuous chocolate on your journey home.
