Céad míle fáilte! A hundred thousand welcomes! The Irish Republic, or Eire, as it's called in Irish Gaelic, is not, of course, part of the UK; it is an independent country, but geographically belongs to what are known as the British Isles. Ireland is well known for many things, from Oscar Wilde and George Bernard Shaw, Guinness and Irish whiskey, colcannon and soda bread, music, song and Riverdance, folklore, leprechauns and the legendary Irish hospitality.

As a gentle breeze chases out the last of the sunlight and warmth, the lanterns begin to show, heralding the evening’s arrival, in their deepening orange glow. And ‘tis by this gentle light that nocturnal pets go about their business, and trick ‘n’ treaters wander, whispering to the wind…

Here we have the Houses of Parliament, Sunset by Claude Monet. Monet was well known for a series of paintings of the River Thames, and we have the most rare of them all, here on display at Le Musee d'art de Cannelle! This is one of the very few that Monet painted in vivid color, using the colors of sunset in the fog. It is pretty, but is it an actual Monet, or is it just a very clever forgery?

Syan's Eagle on the Wing is a beautiful landscape oil painting evoking feelings of peace and tranquility, and a sense that all is well in the PnF world! The warm hues in the sunrise are soften by the mist rising off the water, the stillness broken only by the slow glide of a watchful eagle.

Eeeek! What a perfectly eerie scene for Halloween! One can only imagine what this little monkey has seen, to make him so afraid? What a shame, when the Autumn colours all around him are so warm and inviting!

The air above Fire Mountain crackles and the sky is ablaze with a filigree of glowing flames as young dragon athletes train for the fire-breathing Olympic event. Will their months of hard work and discipline yield gold, silver, or bronze?

In a far-off land, where all living things are sentient, the rocks atop a mountain pass amuse themselves by plotting mischief along the well-trodden path below… What might sound like thunder to the uninitiated is equally likely to be the rumbling belly laugh of just such a rock, planning on putting all manner of obstacles in the path of passing Pets. Pets do really pass here at their own peril!

Australia most iconic natural land form, and the traditional home of the Anangu people, Uluru is the second largest sandstone monolith in the world. At sunrise Uluru’s surface glows flaming red, and at sunset Uluru’s surface glows blue and purple.
Uluru began forming over 500 million years ago, when a mountain range pushed up from the south, then eroded rapidly, due to a lack of plant cover. The minerals released during the deformation of this mountain range were folded together, over and over, ever more tightly, until they became welded together, hardened, oxidised, and polished by the desert air, wind and rain over millions of years…

Walking amongst the trees, their leaves changing into such vibrant colors of orange, yellow and red, you hear a stream. You follow the babbling sounds of the stream, and as you approach it, you notice a gently worn path with a bridge that crosses over the stream. The path leads way to a friendly fence that is guarding a pleasant looking cottage in the middle of the woods. The grass is still green, and the sun is shining. You wander who lives in such a perfect, peaceful place, so you decide to knock. After all, it's a cottage in the middle of the splendid Fall woods, so it must be safe!

Gazing at the wonder around you, you have never felt more at peace. The trees bare an abundance of Autumn colors: gold, amber, and apricot, which they shed so gently on the country ground. You can here the gentle breeze and the chirping of the birds. This is the home to so many wonderful creatures and you know you are lucky to be a part of their habitat. You enjoy the mostly quiet forest, and you realize that this is now your place of serenity. With the cool crisp air filling your lungs, and the crunch of the leaves beneath your feet, you hug the warmth of yourself and venture out for a walk.

What will you make of this stunning scene of copper clouds? Is the day going down to gold, the evening at approach? Or, is it a rumbling, thunder filled storm on the horizon, promising rain to quench the earth below and mud puddles for eager pets to play in?
