The weather was partly cloudy today. So I want into the garden but that pesky farmer has it fenced off. How could they? Don’t they know bunnies need lettuce and parsley? It’s a very important part of our diet. Just like hay. And don’t forget the carrots. But I shall pass on the cabbage. It gives me gas. And boy oh boy my toots are quite stinky!

Bother! Clouds again. Sniff sniff sniff! I think I smell some treats over there. My nose is twitching with excitement. I can barely contain myself with excitement. I know you will be kind enough to share. I will sit here and look oh so pretty. Head turned up, ears back, who can resist me? Sniff sniff, yes I think that is fresh organically grown curly parsley I smell.

W-who’s there? Oh, hello. You startled me. Y-you are very tall. Can you reach the clouds? It must be nice to be so tall. I imagine you can see a long way into the distance. I can only see as far as the bottom of this tree we are standing near. This is a good tree; it has apples in it. Would you mind reaching up and getting me an apple? If you like, you can pick an apple for yourself, and we can sit and chat for a while.

I have a wise friend who said that was quite alright, as I could focus on the things closer to the ground, and my friends could focus on the things higher up. Then we could share what we have discovered so no one would miss out on anything. W-would you like to be my friend?

I Proudly stand atop the mountain to monitor the weather in summer and spring. My tail is very sensitive to changes in the atmospheric pressure–I will alert you to the summer storm long before the first dark clouds begin to gather. Take heart and take cover if you see me headed your way.

Hi, hi! Do you want to play? Can we run? Did you bring a ball or a stick? Woof, woof, what is that over there? No, I am not a wolf. I know my face has wolf-like characteristics but I am a spitz breed of dog. What is a spitz? A type of dog that is usually found in northern climates with very thick fur and pointed ears and usually a curled tail. I love the cold and I just love to play and bark. I am strong and intelligent and I think we can be great friends if you like to play and can put up with my barking. I have a lot to say and I am interested in absolutely everything. Can we go for that run now?

This beautiful winter doll was created during a winter storm. When the storm was over, she emerged with eyes the colour of the winter sky when the snow falls; and her cheeks are made rosy from the cold. She wears a dress of grey and white, reminders of the snow and shadows that play across the wintery landscape. Upon her head is a halo of ice crystals swirling around her golden hair.

Winter is the coldest time of year, but this doll's heart is overflowing with warmth to share with you.

Feint, parry, advance, thrust. Ah, you found me. Would you care to practice with me? I practice so I stay nimble on my feet. When you are out adventuring, you never know what trouble will come courting you and when you might need to make a quick dash to get away—plus there are rooftops, trees, runaway wagons, you know, the typical adventuring type stuff happening.

What do I do? Hmm! That is on a need-to-know basis, and you do not need to know. Unless. Are you thinking of joining me? Yes, you would first need to know what I do.

How shall I put this? I do nothing that would be frowned upon by anyone with a good heart.

On the off chance I find a lost boat in my frozen waters I help guide them through the everchanging cracks and freezes and back to warmer waters. Sometimes it's lonely living away from other pets, but I rarely feel alone.

Once I sense the air change, I travel to nearby homes to warn pets to take cover and help the elderly pets reach safety. As I finish my rounds I begin the dangerous portion of my job, tracking the storm as it travels across the terrain.

What should I do today? There are so many choices—I could chase a toy mouse, or climb a tree and see how the birds are doing. I know a new cat moved in down the street and I have been wanting to get to know them and show them all the fun places to hide and where to chase butterflies and where the best catnip grows. I could wait for the mail to arrive and see if the delivery person has any treats for me, sometimes they do, which makes me purr.

My human likes to sit at the table in the morning and make clicking sounds on something called a keyboard, maybe I should go help them, they always seem to get so excited when I tap on the keys. Maybe I will take a stroll down to the pond and spend some time watching the fish swim around.

I have thought and thought and now I have become sleepy, I think what I will do is wash my face and curl up and take a nap. Naps are always the right thing to do. When I wake up then we can go do something, purr, see you later.

As the day carries on I flutter along the rock bank, watching the water in its leisurely travel. I wonder how it feels to be the water, in a constant ever-changing state of motion. To travel the world both independent and merged with all water of the world. Then I get distracted by the vibrant rocks below the water's surface and try to collect some to decorate my gorgeous flower field.

It’s all very well for other pets to hide under trees when the rain falls. I can’t! Well not under little ones. So one day I’m brown yellow brown yellow brown, and the next I walk right through a rainbow. Like wow! I’m so glad to be unique!

The kiwi is a flightless bird native to New Zealand, home to more flightless birds than any other country. How did it get to New Zealand? Kiwi birds are strong swimmers, but this is unlikely. The kiwi could have used small islands that have since sunk. The strongest claim is that the kiwi actually evolved in New Zealand. In the past, the kiwi could fly, but owing to the lack of ground predators in New Zealand, the flight feathers disappeared over a long period.

The kiwi’s feathers are more like fur than real feathers. It is a bird that mates for life, and couples of 20 years together, have been documented. The kiwi itself can live for 50 years. They dig burrows to lay one large egg, one-quarter the size of the adult kiwi—the largest egg in proportion to the body size of any bird on earth. Kiwi birds have excellent hearing, but their sense of smell is stronger. The kiwi is the only bird with nostrils, which are at the end of the beak. The sense of smell is so strong the kiwi can smell prey under the earth.

2nd of 3 extra donor rewards; becomes adoptable! Yay! I love autumn. I have become very plump thanks to the plentiful fish this year. I need to conserve my energy as I don’t want to lose any of my hard-won plumpness, but I still love to play in the leaves, tossing them high in the air and finding the perfect leaf to chase. In fact, I love to play with all manner of things I find. I can wave around a stick like no one else, be careful if you are sitting next to me; I don’t want to bonk you on the head by mistake.

The days are beautiful, with a much gentler sun filtering through the trees. I will nap more now and dream of the fish I still hope to eat. When you are a bear, there is no such thing as too plump. Cooler weather means that soon, I will need to start making my way up into the mountains to find the best place to dig my den. For a few more weeks, I will enjoy these days of abundance and play for the sheer joy of being a bear.

You may think those warning sirens for storms and tornados are signaled by fancy technologic systems which read the weather. In truth, I'm the one pets look to to know when the storms will come. My delicate wings give me the ability to detect the air flow and pressure changes which can create dangerous conditions.

Hello, wind. This morning I came to sit beside this tree and wait for a friend. Did you come to wait for a friend too? This tree has been here a long time, a sturdy and dependable tree; its trunk is the perfect shape to sit against. Look! Up in the sky, the clouds are playing tag with each other. I would like to play tag too when my friend arrives. Hello clouds, do you see little me waving at you? Oh, that tickles! The leaves are dancing and whirling around me. I will dance with the leaves while I wait for a friend.

My tummy is telling me it is time to eat lunch. I have had a wonderful morning, even if a friend did not pass by. No, that is not right. I have had friends with me all this time. The comfortable tree, the whispering wind, the dancing leaves, and the playful clouds have kept me company and been my friend.

Who can say 'no' to a face like this? The correct answer is - less pets than you'd think. With a cute smile and some precise 'baby eyes' I can get anything I want!

Often found in - you guessed it - caves, this little caterpillar has developed a love of dark, damp, spaces and the rock formations found within them. Majority of the known caves and underground tunnels in PnF have been mapped by these adventurous caterpillars. And they're not finished yet - they're determined to explore every cave across the world.

There’s more to life than running around playing. Though her siblings were happy enough barking and play fighting, this little pooch sought out those who were sad and hurting, wanting to be by their side, sharing the hard times along with the playdays, making deeper and longer-lasting friendships. If your pet wants to be the loyal companion and trusted friend of others, its tail wags with the tail of this faithful hound.

I absolutely adore snow! Not just any snow, full-blown blizzards are my favourite! The blinding snowfall, large snow banks, freezing temperatures. I love building large snow-forts and snow-tunnels! Did I mention I like snow?

Hummmm… Bzzzzzzzz… If you are outside cat-napping on the porch and hear what sounds a bit like a bumblebee, have no fear; it’s only a little hummingbird. I’ve just stopped by to have a few sips of the perfectly sweetened sugar-water in the feeder. Thank you for not putting any coloring in it. I prefer it that way; nectar in flowers is clear and it is better for my health to have a natural diet. Due to the rapid beating of my wings, I am in constant need of sugar for energy and I have the unique ability to turn nectar into fuel within thirty minutes.
I like my sugar-water to be clear but that doesn’t mean I don’t like color in other places, like my beautiful feathers. My exotic coloring is in vibrant shades of ruby and emerald, mirroring precious gemstones. And I just love the way my feathers look iridescent in the sunlight. My beauty goes much deeper though. I am a very thankful bird and I will remember where your feeder is after my long migratory flight back from Central America. I will stay in your yard all summer and even bring my babies to see you and show them how nice you are.

Puurrrr! Puurrrrr!!! Puuuurrrrrr!!!! Please take me home with you. I am just a lonely and scared black kitty who wants to make a few friends. I may seem a bit shy at first but I promise to be as loveable and snugly as any kitty can be. We can go exploring together on great adventures and spend our evenings curled up with a steaming mug and blanket. I even promise to feign an interest if you want to read to me or have random conversations. I can even try to answer, if you speak kitty that is. I know we will be the best of friends. I just know it.

Who’s the baby? ME! And everyone oohs and ahhs over me, talkin’ to me, asking me things like do I know I’m cute! OF COURSE! And do I want some treatsies? UH, YEAH, what kid doesn’t want treats! I won’t grow up to be as big as my river horse cousins, but I will still be able to play American football for the PNF Giants if I want! Mum says I have plenty of time before I think about that stuff. That in the meantime I should play real football (soccer). I am rather fast, you know! When mom comes by with a mouthful of that nasty river hay, I zoom to the right and zag to the left to avoid that All I need now is a ball, and I can score!

Compared to most butterflies, I prefer the colder climates of the world. Specifically the frozen variety. I spend most of my nights relaxing on glaciers, enjoying the crisp breeze floating across the frozen sea.

My parents say my egg hatched on the rainiest day they've ever seen. I don't know if that's true, my cousins say their parents have said the same thing! True or not, I always find myself drawn to the rain and love basking in the clouds with my siblings.

Taking a little swim as the rain falls is the best feeling in the world. Watching the ripples on the water overlap and cross, a beautiful medley of drips and drops and echoes. It's relaxing and enthralling.

As the fog descends I begin my patrol, gliding silently over the winding paths hidden between towering trees and rocky ledges. One wrong step by an inexperienced pet can be a life-changing experience - often not in a good way. Thankfully no pet has been harmed in my mountains in a long time.

In the blink of an eye, and ready to take flight into the light of the silver moon, leaping effortlessly into the crisp night air!

I am so excited today is visiting day. Do you have a visiting day too? I have made some muffins. Everyone loves muffins…I think. Maybe I should make some cookies too. Oh, dear! L-look at the time. I have to hurry.

Who should I visit first? There is my bear friend, but if I visit him first, I won’t have any muffins left to take to my other friends. Maybe the old owl, but he may be out, and it is a long walk to his tree. The deer in the meadow loves to chat while her children are playing. Then there is the rabbit who loves to tell very long stories. If I sit quietly, maybe I can make a decision.

I may decide to go and pay a visit to some pet friends, or I may go collect berries; I love berries. There is also the possibility of going fishing in the river. Being a bear, I am curious about so many things. Sometimes my curiosity can get the better of me. So I am standing here and letting myself look out over the landscape and think about what I want to do. Sometimes being a bear means contemplating choices.

Whir, bzzt. W.O.O.F, H.E.L.L.O! I am your new dog robot.

A very clever scientist that lives over by the wizard’s tower was tinkering with some gears and things called motherboards and, I don’t know what all else, but somehow a bit of magic escaped from the wizard’s tower and combined with all the bits and pieces that the scientist had laid out on the workbench, and this new robot was formed.

This robot cat can do most of the things that real dogs can do, though its bark sounds a bit rusty; plus, it can answer difficult mathematical questions, should you ever need such information. Also, this robot can tell you the best recipes for dog treats.

I am not sure what the scientist had planned, but this is how it turned out.

“Parasaurolophus is a genus of ornithopod dinosaur that lived in what is now North America and Asia during the Late Cretaceous Period”. Yes, that’s me, but hey, I’m more than just an old fossil! For instance, did you know I’m an excellent dancer? I can also play hide and seek better than any dinosaur I know! I have excellent camouflage (as long as your vegetation is from the Cretaceous Period, that is) and I can sneak up on many an unsuspecting quadruped! Just don’t let the pterodactyl fly around and tell where everyone is, that’s cheating! So I’m invited to your next party, right?

Yes, I’m a “PLEASE”iosaurus! I love to please my friends, I’m playful, I get along with everything from Krakkens to dolphins, and I can swim circles around them, too! Until now, I only lived in the Jurassic period, but I’m ready to come swim with your pets! Won’t you make room for me, please?

My gossamer wings are promises of the beauty I spread when I come for a visit! You’ll find me hovering at times, soaking in the splendor of nature, but when I am ready to zip along, I can reach the supersonic speed of 48 km! I am an aeronautic acrobat, and can zoom forwards and backwards, pilots try to mimic me, but I’m never duplicated. I bring the party with me so take me home today for a buzzing good time!

Hahahehehahahahe! Did I startle you? Did you think I was a human laughing? No, just me, the Kookaburra. Now the question to ask is, was I laughing, or is this the way my call sounds? I would hate for you to not be able to join me in a good laugh, which I enjoy as much as any pet. Alas, this time I was calling to see if there were any more Kookaburra in the area.

Let’s be clear here, I’m clearly all about seeing things without the interference of pesky clouds, or any other weather!
My favorite days are crisp and blue, allowing me to see for miles! No smog, no fog, no haze or clouds to hinder a perfect weather day!
Clearly there is a bit of a mystery to these days, when you pull back the curtains to see the current weather conditions. Gazing longingly on that pristine horizon, the little question niggles in the back of your head, “Is cold out? Is it warm? What should I wear!” Only walking out the door will tell!

Can you catch me? I seek the sun–I seek the shade. I spend my days streaking over sun-warmed green meadows, playing hide-and-seek in the cool dappled groves, and turning my head skyward to give joyful yips directed at the sun.

I saw a snow fort the other day and I pounced on it! In no time it was all broke down into lovely mounds of fresh snow. Then this other puppy came out of a tunnel and played chase. He didn’t catch me! He has such nice white teeth, next time I see him I will ask him to recommend his orthodontist.

Ho ho ho! Merry Christmas! How do I look? This is a new suit my tailor has made for me. My suit tends to get into quite the state after months of working, and then on Christmas Eve, when I jump down chimneys, I can get my suit snagged on bricks. I also had my beard trimmed—the missus was after me about that.
I send you the warmest of wishes for the holidays, and don’t forget to leave out some treats for my reindeer. If you want to leave some milk and cookies for me, I would be delighted to accept.
