I've only just got my fur! Isn't it a beautiful shade of grey? I'm very small and the world is just a little bit too big and scary at the moment, but if you just give me a cuddle I'm sure I'll be all right.

But wait! I’m just an itty bitty baby! And super cute to boot! Please don't leave me alone outside, as there are lots of animals that would like to eat me! And please please don’t put me in a habbi with Scaredy Cat, because he terrifies me!

I promise not to grow up into one of those horrible rodents that runs up your leg or gnaws their way into your packets of grain. Just make sure my living space is clean, and provide me with food, and I'll provide you with all the love you need! But if you don't like that idea, I can just sleep the day away in the corner here, and sneak a little food to nibble on when you’re not looking?

For generations, my family has had a lush head of luxurious feathers...so don't call me bald, it simply can't be true! Actually, my name comes from pie-bald, an old English word that means white-headed, so I can assure you, my lovely plumage remains intact, no matter what some may say. At one time I was endangered but my numbers have been growing, thanks to conservation efforts. I may be majestic and noble, a symbol well-known throughout America...but I admit, I'm very sensitive about the misguided notion that I have a receding hairline.

This proud symbol combines the national bird, the majestic bald eagle, and the colors of the flag of the United States of America. The bald eagle isn't actually bald, it just looks that way due to the white feathers on its head, which are in contrast to the color of their body. Eagles are powerful fliers and have been viewed as symbols of strength since ancient times. They live in tall, old-growth trees in close proximity to water, and can be found across most of North America. May both the bald eagle and the American flag ever fly high above our land.

You can tell by the glint in my eye and the tilt of my head that I am very curious and perhaps a little mischievous. Climb aboard and hang onto my mane and I will transport you into a magical land of fun and frolicking. We can strut proudly about or plop onto a magic carpet and travel among enchanted forests. In fact, we can go anywhere your imagination wants to take us and just think of the fun we can have.

Last seen on planet Zinnia, imagine our surprise when word came down the line that a small colony of ultra-rare Earthly Fleurpets had been found flourishing on the darkside of Candy Mountain. As you might remember, fleurpets grow in clusters and are rather chatty little things, always eager to greet the light of morning and throw their petals and leaf-dressed arms wide open. To best care for your fleurpet, we recommend at least two of the same, with lots of cheery sunshine and the occasional nourishing rain.

Hey, speak up sonny. I can't hear as good as I used to. What you calling me? Balding? Well, you young whippersnapper you! I could show you a thing or two. Back in the day, I could see a fish swimming in the pond from way-y-y-y up high in the sky and swoop down and grab it in the blink of an eye. What, did I hear you right? Now you're calling me four-eyes? Didn't your momma tell you if you don't have anything nice to say, to keep yer mouth shut? Younguns these days just need to learn to respect their elders. If I had talked to my pa like that he would've grounded me for a week; and you know how much we birds hate that. No sirree, you would never have caught me back-talking my ma and pa! I love flying too much. Speaking of flying, a little birdie told me I could find some nicer eagles in that tree over yonder, so off I go. And I do hope you straighten up and fly right someday.

Hahahehehahahahe! Did I startle you? Did you think I was a human laughing? No, just me, the Kookaburra. Now the question to ask is, was I laughing, or is this the way my call sounds? I would hate for you to not be able to join me in a good laugh, which I enjoy as much as any pet. Alas, this time I was calling to see if there were any more Kookaburra in the area.

Ever since Bunny got their shiny new, all extras included, pink Vespa, Bunny has been zooming around town, zipping around corners, beeping and waving to every pet they pass.

Since the new Vespa is so quick and gets unbelievable mileage per carrot, yes, this Vespa runs on carrot power, Bunny has offered a delivery service to all the pets in PnF land, with a guarantee that the package will be delivered in five minutes or you do not have to pay. Such a deal. I wish, though, that Bunny would slow down around those corners.

Whir, bzzt. W.O.O.F, H.E.L.L.O! I am your new dog robot.

A very clever scientist that lives over by the wizard’s tower was tinkering with some gears and things called motherboards and, I don’t know what all else, but somehow a bit of magic escaped from the wizard’s tower and combined with all the bits and pieces that the scientist had laid out on the workbench, and this new robot was formed.

This robot cat can do most of the things that real dogs can do, though its bark sounds a bit rusty; plus, it can answer difficult mathematical questions, should you ever need such information. Also, this robot can tell you the best recipes for dog treats.

I am not sure what the scientist had planned, but this is how it turned out.

I have my warm little knit hat that my grammy made me, with a cotton tail topper that matches my little cotton bum! I am ready to head out to the forest to frolic and play in the freshly fallen snow, making angels and snow sculptures! Grab your winter woolens and join in the fun!

Let me tell you the story about how I became the Christmas Mouse.

I was a wee mouse, and my family was moving to a new location one winter. A blizzard came upon us, and I got lost. I stumbled around in the snow trying to find anywhere I could shelter, when a bright light appeared a short distance away. I walked toward the light and saw a festively decorated mansion. Hurrying toward the door to see if I could find a way in, a booming voice called out, “Ho ho ho, what have we here?”

A large hand scooped me up, and twinkly eyes looked me over.
"Little mouse, are you lost? Why would you be out on such a night?”

I explained to this jolly fellow what had happened.

Laying a finger aside his nose, he said, “You can live with me until you find your family in the spring.

From that day to this, I have lived in the delightful mansion and helped out how I could, and every Christmas Eve, I get to put the star on top of the tree that stands in the foyer.

Oh, my days are so busy, but I am never too busy to stop and have a chat with the elves, the fairies and the reindeer. I gather news from all over, and I have secret tunnels that go through the mansion, so I can get anywhere I need to go very quickly.

Once a year, we have visitors' day; I would love for you to join me, and I can show you around and introduce you to a few of my friends. I have to run now, but it was so nice to meet you.

Sniff, sniff. I smell something delicious. Do you smell it too? It must be baking day. I feel the urge to sneak into the kitchen and see if I can get a plate of whatever smells so wonderful. Oh, it’s quite fine. I often wander into the kitchen and have a nose around. Sometimes, the head baker leaves a tray for me of the new treats they have made. That smell is pulling me onward. I love tasty snacks. I don’t imagine there is anyone who does not, and I am so lucky to be living here where there is always something delightful to eat.

Here I am back again! I only work once a year, but how busy I am for just one day! Am I dancing to keep myself warm. or because of the joy I will bring to so many? Who cares! Dance with me!

As a new day approaches, so do many pets of the world begin their day, rising with anticipation of what will be. The delicate wings of this sparklefly reflect the rising of the morning sun and the promises it brings.

If you're looking close enough, you can find this lovely purple butterfly fluttering through fields of lavender and lilac, or perching on a blooming iris. They say purple is a symbol of royalty, and this little butterfly embraces it fully.

Yeehaw! Look at me ride; I can ride anything. I don’t need a saddle; I hang and on and go. I love the wind in my fur and watching the ground move past me as I ride along trails or on open plains.

I can ride forever, but if I am riding a horse, I must stop now and then to rest the horse. Bikes, motorscooters, snowmobiles, I can ride them all. Why not join me on a ride across the plains? You may need some goggles to keep the bugs out of your eyes.

I may decide to go and pay a visit to some pet friends, or I may go collect berries; I love berries. There is also the possibility of going fishing in the river. Being a bear, I am curious about so many things. Sometimes my curiosity can get the better of me. So I am standing here and letting myself look out over the landscape and think about what I want to do. Sometimes being a bear means contemplating choices.

This unicorn embodies the quest for fun, galloping through magical experiences in a mystical forest. Every day a new experience, a surprise, an excitement, a wonder! Does your pet’s heart long to escape the drudgery of the day and do just whatever it wishes? Let it roam with this unicorn! Party on. dude!

What a tiny little thing a bird is, yet how loudly it can sing! The joy which bursts forth from its tiny beak fills the air with music and lifts the heart of every pet which hears it. Being brave isn’t about finding things easy, it’s about doing things because they must be done, even when they’re hard. Everyone expects this lion to be brave because he has a mane, but he has problems. As a cub, he was trodden on by an elephant. Since then, being brave became one long struggle. A trusted friend of Scaredy Cat, he knows he should be brave, and he tries very hard to protect others he loves. But if being brave was easy, it wouldn’t be bravery at all! Will your pet go alongside him as he faces his fears, facing them together?

It’s hard to stay still when you’re nuts about food. As long as there are new delights to savour, this squirrel will run up a tree, dash along a branch and even glide through the air chasing after it. If someone else likes it, she has to find out why! Try everything once is her motto. Then if you don’t like it – try something else! The one thing she doesn’t like is anything twice in a row. Does your pet want to go on a world food tour with her?

This good-natured bear doesn’t mind where he is or what he is doing. What matters is who he is doing it with! Every experience others seek after is something he longs to share with others. There’s no fun for him in climbing a mountain alone or tasting the finest food by himself. All his joy is in good talk, shared laughter and hearing new ideas. Never one to judge, he thinks only the best of others, even if his friends cannot get along with one another. How about taking a quest in the same spirit?

Today is a glorious day. The sun is starting to peek above the horizon. It is time for my early morning run. I run for the exercise. I run because I love to run and feel the wind rush past my ears. I run because I need to check on all the fallen logs in the forest to see if anything tasty is hidden there. I run because I have an abundance of energy.
This afternoon, I will most likely be ready for a long nap. This is the way for bears. We go until we don’t. I would be pleased for you to join me in my early morning run.

An old bear is a wise bear, and this bear is very wise indeed. He has seen a lot in all his years, and he has made friends with all who live in PnF land. He loves to sit and think about things. He will sit for hours to think about how the body moves when playing a sport, and how the wind can affect the outcome if the grass is wet or dry. If the rain is falling or if the sun is in the player's eyes.

If you see this bear gazing off into the distance, keep walking; this old bear is deep in thought, and even a pot of honey will not bring him out of his thoughts.

There is an old yellow bear, you may have seen him walking around town, but you have surely seen him when you attend the PnF sporting events. This old bear loves sports, and even though he cannot participate as he did in his younger years, he loves to raise a paw and cheer on the participants while yelling out, “Reach for the stars.”

When you are as old as this silly old bear is, and when you have lived in a place for a long time, you make friends with everyone. This old bear spends lots of time talking to all the pets who live in PnF land.

He loves to chat about the weather, the different flavour honey has depending on the types of flowers the bees visited, and this old bear loves to discuss the PnF games, how the participants are doing and what their dreams are, and what new games could be added. Maybe a honey-tasting event; that is one game this old bear could participate in.

We meet again, my friend. Did you see me just now? I was chasing that villain over the roofs, alas, he made a getaway, but I will catch up with him.

Have you given any more thought to joining me in my adventures? Yes, it can be strenuous at times, the leaping, the dashing, the running off of high places and hoping you land on your feet. Then there is the swimming—not my favourite part. At the end of the day, when I am successful, it is all worth it.

This old bear has been around a while and has learned many things. When sports events are taking place in PnF land, the old bear likes to go around and whisper secret methods for winning to all the participants. The old bear does not mind who wins, though, like everyone, he is sure to have his favourites, but for this bear, it is the fun of the competition and not the winning that really matters. He treats every entrant the same and gives his tips to all.

There is an old bear—who may look familiar to you and your pets. He loves honey, and he loves lazy walks with friends, but he also enjoys watching sports. When PnF land holds sports events, this old bear likes to cheer on his favourites, which is every pet, and he enjoys having a close-up view.
Borrowing a balloon from friends, this old bear can be seen sailing over the sporting event, looking down at whatever sport is ongoing and cheering loudly. One of the reasons this bear loves honey is it can soothe a sore throat from all that cheering.

Psst! I see you looking at my tall boots, dashing hat, flowing cape, and shiny sword. I know what you are thinking. I can only tell you that I am an orange striped cat—with a taste for adventure.
If you may see me on a rooftop late at night, pay me no mind. If you see me standing behind a tree, pay me no heed. If I seem to be distracted, well, that is natural for a cat. We can get focused on something quite easily, so walk on by.

Hello, wind. This morning I came to sit beside this tree and wait for a friend. Did you come to wait for a friend too? This tree has been here a long time, a sturdy and dependable tree; its trunk is the perfect shape to sit against. Look! Up in the sky, the clouds are playing tag with each other. I would like to play tag too when my friend arrives. Hello clouds, do you see little me waving at you? Oh, that tickles! The leaves are dancing and whirling around me. I will dance with the leaves while I wait for a friend.

My tummy is telling me it is time to eat lunch. I have had a wonderful morning, even if a friend did not pass by. No, that is not right. I have had friends with me all this time. The comfortable tree, the whispering wind, the dancing leaves, and the playful clouds have kept me company and been my friend.

I am so excited today is visiting day. Do you have a visiting day too? I have made some muffins. Everyone loves muffins…I think. Maybe I should make some cookies too. Oh, dear! L-look at the time. I have to hurry.

Who should I visit first? There is my bear friend, but if I visit him first, I won’t have any muffins left to take to my other friends. Maybe the old owl, but he may be out, and it is a long walk to his tree. The deer in the meadow loves to chat while her children are playing. Then there is the rabbit who loves to tell very long stories. If I sit quietly, maybe I can make a decision.

Oh! T-that started me. Someone is knocking on my door.
All my friends have come to visit me. When the sun woke me up this morning, I knew this would be a special day, but I did not think it would be my friends visiting me special type of day.

My Sunday best name is Opisthoteuthis Californiana Adorabilis –what a mouthful! Aren’t I just too, too cute? I’m only seven inches in diameter with huge eyes and I’m such a pretty colour! My eight legs are joined together with a web, so I can parachute through water – wheeeeeeeee! It’s such fun, almost as much fun as country dancing. “Step we gaily, on we go, heel for heel for heel for heel for heel for heel ... “.

Just a gecko, who likes the cool of the night for my food gathering, rather than the hot heat of the sun.

Ho ho ho! Merry Christmas! How do I look? This is a new suit my tailor has made for me. My suit tends to get into quite the state after months of working, and then on Christmas Eve, when I jump down chimneys, I can get my suit snagged on bricks. I also had my beard trimmed—the missus was after me about that.
I send you the warmest of wishes for the holidays, and don’t forget to leave out some treats for my reindeer. If you want to leave some milk and cookies for me, I would be delighted to accept.

This beautiful winter doll was created during a winter storm. When the storm was over, she emerged with eyes the colour of the winter sky when the snow falls; and her cheeks are made rosy from the cold. She wears a dress of grey and white, reminders of the snow and shadows that play across the wintery landscape. Upon her head is a halo of ice crystals swirling around her golden hair.

Winter is the coldest time of year, but this doll's heart is overflowing with warmth to share with you.

Snug and safe, I won’t awake now until spring. I don’t need to eat anymore, I will live off my fat reserves, and I won’t even need to take a break to go outside; my body will absorb any waste. I need to conserve my energy as I don’t want to lose any of my hard-won plumpness, but I still love to play in the leaves, tossing them high in the air and finding the perfect leaf to chase. In fact, I love to play with all manner of things I find. I can wave around a stick like no one else, be careful if you are sitting next to me; I don’t want to bonk you on the head by mistake.

The days are beautiful, with a much gentler sun filtering through the trees. I will nap more now and dream of the fish I still hope to eat. When you are a bear, there is no such thing as too plump. Cooler weather means that soon, I will need to start making my way up into the mountains to find the best place to dig my den.
