Oh boy! I am going for my first lasso lesson today. What is a lasso? It is a very long thin rope that may have a slight stiffness to keep the loop part open. Ranchers use it to catch cattle when they want to give them a good brushing and maybe some medicine. I thought it would be fun to be able to twirl the loop over my head and run around catching fence posts because you know how fence posts like to wander off.

Ok, I hold the rope like this, and then the loop like that and oh no…I have just caught my own foot. This rope twirling is hard to learn. Oh, now I have the rope all tangled around my body. I will keep practicing. I bet you would be good at this; give it a try.
