There is something magical about the way trees awaken. No matter how long and harsh the winter has been, it must give way to spring. The longer days and warming of the sun coax the sleeping trees to burst forth in tender shades of green, signaling the return of life to the earth. If the tree happens to be a fruit or flowering tree, soon the green will be followed by a glorious explosion of breathtaking color as the blossoms open.

The most heavenly fragrance wafts through the air as the lilac trees burst forth in a profusion of lavender loveliness. While many different hues of purple are the most common colors for the beloved lilac tree, it also comes in shades of pink, magenta, white, and even pale yellow. The most exotic looking lilac is called Sensation Lilac and is a vivid shade of purple edged in white.

After your steamy jungle explorations, step through and soak up the rays of a beautiful sunshine bathed respite. Behind these mammoth leaves awaits the stuff of fantasies, a rainforest clearing, perfect for picnicking, splashing, and perfect picture taking utilizing a gorgeous, roaring waterfall as your dream backdrop.

A cluster of vivid red and yellow marigolds catches the eye of a Monarch butterfly on his marathon flight. Weary from pushing his delicate wings to new limits, he swerves off course for a quick refreshing pit stop. In the air again, fueled with marigold nectar, the young butterfly continues his race, with many kilometers still to fly.

This simple serene scene provides the ideal backdrop for snow shrouded cozy dwellings and town overlays! Perhaps curious pets gather on the hills above, gazing through brightly lit windows, puzzled by the Christmas tree "growing" inside the dwelling, or mesmerized by all of the sparkling Christmas lights and colourful gifts under the tree? Or is this where Santa parks his sleigh, while he clambers up the trellis of a nearby dwelling, en route to the chimney? Although it's not quite a blank canvas, Winter Hills' Roadside will appeal to all purveyors of fine PnF art, by providing a simple backdrop for their cozy winter art!

When their vessel carefully manoeuvres past the rocks to reach the landing stage, the pets can jump out and explore this delightful little island. There are beautiful, relaxing sandy beaches, rocky hills to climb, a viaduct and old castle ruin to explore, green pastures to take a picnic hamper, woods and forests to ramble in, rivers to jump over, apples to pick and there are flowers galore!

A tour of a very stylish place awaits your pets. On arriving at Transcia's landing stage, they will see the poshest hotel on the island at the foot of Alpine peaks. They will pass a superb waterfall, formal gardens and the coastal lighthouse. A walk round one side of the isle next brings them to view stunning architecture along the river, before they have a change of scenery with a peaceful and secluded forest walk, ending with gorgeous views over the surging blue sea. Then it's time to get back on the ship to start for the next port of call!

The Island of Olpeggo derives its name from Lake Olpe and Lake Peggo. Pets disembarking on its sandy beach will explore a river, woods and lakes and see how the other half live on this delightful island, then end their trip by climbing a very high, snow-capped mountain—but what stunning views from the top! They will be very tired but happy pets climbing back down the other side to reboard the boat.

All the fun of the fair is here to provide your pet with entertainment and thrills, from waterslide to big wheel. And has your pet a strong enough stomach for a death-defying rollercoaster ride? To help restore your pet's equilibrium after all the excitements of the fairground rides, there are stalls selling hot potato snacks, popcorn, toffee apples, candy and delicious cakes and other yummy delights made from the autumn harvest produce! We hope everypet will leave clutching at least one of the fun carnival novelties!

Roll up! Roll up! After sunset the fairground is transformed into a glittering arena of swirling lights, with a backdrop of squawks, yelps and howls from pets clinging on for dear life to the scary rollercoaster and whirling round on the fluorescently lit big wheel! The best view is of course from the top, so c'mon, everypet, and have the experience of your life! For pets preferring a gentler ride, hold on tightly to the reins while our carousel horses look after you on a circular journey under a blue starry canopy. Then it's time to indulge in candy, popcorn, gingerbread and pumpkin pie made from the fall harvest! Hopefully everypet will have enough silver moles left to buy a magnificent helium balloon to take home ...

Autumn has well been described by Keats as the "Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness" and pets will here enjoy a ramble through woods with tumbling golden and orange leaves. They can gather hazelnuts, horse chestnuts and fruits, and perhaps forage for mushrooms and dill. Then there are vast fields of wild flowers to explore, and an opportunity to admire the sunset while resting by a rustic barn. Watch your paws or claws crossing the river on the stepping stones—but perhaps splashing in the swirling water is part of the fun!

The pets will gather on the picnic benches outside the community centre before commencing their country ramble. Let's hope those lunch bags remain intact for a few more hours! The tour encompasses country buildings from watermills and windmills to barns, some unusual stone buildings, including a lovely hobbit-type dwelling, and there are some scenes of chocolate-box prettiness. Those pets who have the energy left might like to swim out to the island in the centre of the lake or climb up to a fun tree-house! Others may prefer to explore a formal house and gardens or just relax by the beach!

For this leg of the travel game, the pets embark on a river trip past many beautiful buildings. They will need to wrap up warmly before arriving at the cold, snowy region before the boat continues over open water and past a sturdy old lighthouse before reaching the next landing stage, where the climate is much warmer! They will stretch their legs or wings by crossing the bridge back to their starting point.

Today's trip starts with the pets being picked up by motor vehicles. They try to catch sight of signposts to give a clue to their destination! Arriving at the train station, they climb aboard the Winter Express steam engine for a tour through a winter wonderland! The train stops for them to stretch paws, flippers and wings exploring a path through a snowy forest and on the way back they encounter a little creature clad in red and white trying out his skis! Back on board the journey through winter vistas continues until sunset. The train puffs its way across a stunning viaduct and on into the mist, before pulling up at the station where it is just a short distance to that night's house. Here the pets can explore the spacious interior including the library and wind down from their enjoyable trip out with hot chocolate topped with whipped cream and cinnamon.

Today's trip is on a modern train with spacious seats and large windows to enjoy the passing winter scenery. The train's first stop by a frozen lake allows the pets the opportunity to stretch their legs with a little skating! Let's hope there are no frozen paws from this adventure! The trip then proceeds to skiing grounds with steep snowy slopes, cable cars, chair lifts and an Olympic ski jump! The pets can also turn their paws to snowboarding if they wish. The pets will meet a cute little critter also trying to ski. Back on board the train at the end of an action-packed day, the pets will have the thrill of seeing the Northern Lights as they travel home in the setting sun to that night's lodging. There they will enjoy a warming milky coffee and a bowl of hot soup by the wood-burning stove in the dining room, while admiring the snowy scene outside.

On the only island part of the tour, the pets are picked up at the landing stage by a horse-drawn sleigh and are driven through snowy pines to board their awaiting boat which will take them on the main part of the day's adventure. They will see mountains, icebergs, fun little sandy or rocky coves, swathes of trees lining the coast, snowy island villages and will be enthralled towards the end by the tale of the spooky Troll Lake ... those of a nervous disposition will find exploring the night's accommodation will lift their spirits however! It is a beautiful house with a log fire to warm their paws by while they wind down for the night with mugs of hot chocolate.

The Irish Republic, or Eire, as it's called in Irish Gaelic, is not, of course, part of the UK; it is an independent country, but geographically belongs to what are known as the British Isles. Ireland is well known for many things, from Oscar Wilde and George Bernard Shaw, Guinness and Irish whiskey, colcannon and soda bread, music, song and Riverdance, folklore, leprechauns and the legendary Irish hospitality.

The pets enjoy a tranquil Hertfordshire landscape before moving south towards London. They see the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew and then move on to central London to visit iconic sights. Mind the Gap—they take a trip on the Tube to Baker Street, home of the legendary Sherlock Holmes! They see a typical London pub and see some friendly bobbies guarding the Palace. The pets will then head east to visit a football ground and the scene of a yearly pop festival before finishing the tour in the tranquil surroundings of a mediaeval cathedral city.

The pets start their journey in Derbyshire, in the east Midlands, and travel up to see the base of the famous Red Arrows aerobatic display team before moving on to the Peak District. From there they explore Cheshire and Lancashire and the Lake District National Park. They can enjoy visits to popular seaside resorts on the west and east coasts, and will see York, one of England’s finest and most beautiful historic cities, called Jorvik by Viking invaders who settled there. They then travel up the North Yorkshire coast spotting British fauna and flora before stopping at Newcastle on Tyne for a final night before crossing the border into bonnie Scotland!

Welcome to England! The pets cross the Welsh border to visit a nearby cathedral city and then the county of Shakespeare's birth before heading south to see a very different birthplace—that of an iconic British motor car in 1948, still in use today. Going further south the pets will enjoy two counties very popular as summer holiday resorts, have the opportunity to go on a hot air balloon ride, and to visit Dartmoor—let's hope the Hound of the Baskervilles isn't lurking! They will see wild ponies and have a glimpse of England's friendly national bird, known to every gardener. Moving further along the south coast, the pets will visit an exotic royal retreat in the Chinese and Indian style and a typical seaside pier.

Welcome to Northern Ireland! The official flag of this country is the Union Flag, but St Patrick's Saltire (a red diagonal cross on a white field) represents Northern Ireland on the Union Flag. After arriving at the busy port of Belfast, home of the Titanic, the pets will have an extremely varied trip, viewing not only Neolithic sites and a wonder of the world dating back 50 million years, but they will also enjoy lots of bracing fresh air, viewing castles and coastlines! In the evenings, perhaps they will enjoy some legendary Northern Irish music with traditional meals in the local taverns.

Fàilte gu Alba! Welcome to Scotland! The pets will enjoy a varied tour, taking in the capital, Edinburgh, lochs and lighthouses, castles and keeps, waterfalls and winged wildlife, some rugged Highland scenes and they will see marvels of engineering. They will sample Scottish cuisine, perhaps cullen skink or cranachan. But will they be able to resist the lure of deep fried Mars Bars?

Croeso i Gymru! Welcome to Wales! The pets' journey of the British Isles begins in the home of castles, choirs and Celtic myth; of legends, the longbow and language of the Welsh; of rain, rugby and racing; of dragons, daffodils and deer. With three National Parks and five Areas of Outstanding Beauty to explore, your pet will find that scenic Wales, with its mild climate, is the perfect place for a spring holiday! So—as our pets disembark on the north coast, clutching passpets and perhaps a Welsh phrasebook to try out the local lingo, let's see what sights they will enjoy on their tour! They will visit attractions ranging from a tiny house to large castles, and enjoy rambling through wide open spaces and waterfalls with picnic lunches of local cheeses and bara brith and evening meals of leek and potato soup and Welsh rarebit. On the last evening, in a mediaeval town near the border with England, the pets will enjoy traditional meal popular throughout Britain before retiring to their hotel for the night.

The pets have a very varied tour taking in the magnificence of Rome and Vatican City, romantic Florence, and also Siena, and the vineyards of Tuscany. They will come across another very stylish icon of the Italian automobile industry! There will be opportunities to explore winding backstreets with a choice of Italian eateries! Other sights are Cinque Terre, with its colourful jumble of houses, and for sea-lovers, visits to coastal lighthouses, including one in Genoa. One exciting point will be viewing a flypast of the Frecce Tricolori, the Italian airforce aerobatic fleet!

We go island-hopping off the "boot" of Italy on Sardinia and Sicily! There is so much for the pets to enjoy here, from the dozens of flawless sandy beaches, vibrant, colourful houses and special flora and fauna. The architecture reflects the melting pot of travellers from ancient empires of Europe, Africa and the Middle East that used the islands as a stopping-off place—the Byzantines, Phoenicians and of course, the Spanish, all of whom have left their mark. The water is perfectly clear, making it ultra-inviting for pets who want to try their paw at snorkling! And there's a banger of a surprise on Sicily, home to Europe's largest volcano, Mount Etna! It's classed as active, but pets need have no fear—that just means it's erupted once since the last Ice Age! Rest assured, your picnics will not be disturbed!

We start by unashamedly concentrating on the beautiful water city of Venice from dawn to night life, and experience delights from gondola trips on the canals, viewing quaint little bridges and magnificent architecture, to a visit to the grand Opera House. The pets will round off their Venetian tour with a visit to the famous Murano glass factory! We then move on to a colourful little town outside Venice before completing this leg of the trip by visiting scenes of a very different nature in the mountainous South Tyrol and Dolomites.

The pets will here explore the vineyards of Piedmont; the birthplace of the Fiat 500 in Turin; the many delights of fashion capital Milan; Lake Como and Lake Garda. They will experience the scary hairpin bends of the Tyrolean Stelvio Pass and meet a curly-horned guardian of the Dolomites. Also to be seen is one of the most beautiful old villages in Italy and a very posh palace!

In this part of the trip, the pets will explore sights ranging from narrow village backstreets to the famous Arco san Felice in Puglia and the Isle of Capri. They will see iconic Italian vehicles such as the tiny Fiat 500 and the Vespa scooter. Along the way they come across Italian flora and fauna, and have ample opportunity to sample the best of Italian cuisine, not only pizza, pasta and delicious gelati but dishes made with freshly picked lemons and grapes! But let's hope they're not kept awake by too much espresso!

In the dark of night, in deepest dreams, your pet meets up with these tiny beings. They dance and shimmer, shine and spark, and bring delight to your pet's heart. When your pet wakes to face the day, their memory doesn't fade away. Indeed, the hope that they impart turns tears to joy and mends the heart.

Pork Avenue was a happy street, a street full of colourful skyscrapers, favoured by pets from all paws of life, but most particularly favoured by entrepreneurial pigs, because Pork Avenue was the economic epicentre of New Pork City! Even in the hustle and bustle of New Pork City’s boom years, Pork Avenue was a friendly thoroughfare, characterised by cheerful greetings, and by pets taking time out of their busy enterprises to welcome new comers and to chew the fat with passersby. Residents of Pork Avenue felt complaisant, believing their boom years would last indefinitely…
