Charmer and Shadow are excited to find out what is in store for them in the Autumn Experience! As they enter, they each receive a free map! It reads:
Fall Fairground North
All the fun of the fair is here to provide your pet with entertainment and thrills, from waterslide to big wheel. And has your pet a strong enough stomach for a death-defying rollercoaster ride? To help restore your pet's equilibrium after all the excitements of the fairground rides, there are stalls selling hot potato snacks, popcorn, toffee apples, candy and delicious cakes and other yummy delights made from the autumn harvest produce! We hope everypet will leave clutching at least one of the fun carnival novelties!

“The trouble with eating this, Mrs Wabbit,” observed Charmer, “is that it’s very moreish. You really don’t want to stop at one portion!”

Dilly and Charmer treated themselves to a generous portion of the delicious-looking snack at the next stall to help get over quite a scary ride!

Fairings is the traditional name for edible souvenirs sold at fairs throughout England. These ginger fairings became associated with Cornish fairs and are still popular in the region.

ScaryHairy and Charmer watched the antics on the waterslide as they stood in the line of pets waiting to board the next ride. "Remember when Foxy leant too far over the bridge in Meadowlands that time, and fell in the pond with a huge splash?" asked Charmer. "My stomach muscles ached from laughing for days!"

Maxwell was at the end of the queue for food when Charmer joined him. “It’s been a long time since lunch!” said Charmer.

Charmer was listening enraptured to the music emerging from the nearby carousel. “My Mum used to sing this, Marcus!” he exclaimed excitedly. "Music allures, graceful and sweet, bidding us dance, airy and fleet—” he waltzed in a ragged circle and accidentally bumped into the carnival novelties stand. “Ooh! I’ll buy one of those while I'm here, Marcus!” he said.

The ride had started off fairly gently, but was now gathering speed at a great rate! Dave and Charmer had met just as it was starting and had managed to shake paws and say “Hello” before the ride deprived them both of breath!

"What's the fastest ride here, Charmer?" asked Amy. "Is it this roller coaster?"
"No, the merry-go-round has more horse power!" said Charmer.

The world's oldest roller coasters descended from specially constructed hills of snow in the gardens of palaces around the Russian capital, St Petersburg, in the 18th century. The slides were built to a height of between 70 ft - 80 ft (21-24 m), had a 50 degree drop. These slides became popular with the Russian upper class."Russian mountains" remains the term for roller coasters in many languages, such as Spanish (la montaña rusa), Italian (montagne russe), and French (les montagnes russes). Ironically, the Russian term for roller coaster, "amerikanskie gorki", translates literally as "American mountains."

As sunset falls, you enjoy the ever-changing view as you chug a little further upwards and then pause as each pod takes on its precious cargo of pets eager to enjoy the ride. Then when all the pods are full, the wheel starts to turn, building up speed!

While snuggle was trying to decide whether to go for a medium or large size, Charmer came up to say hello. “I’m going to go for super-size!” said Charmer.
