The poppy can have many symbolic meanings in different cultures, for example, restful sleep and recovery. For others, it is a cheery harbinger of summer because of its size and intense colors. On this island there is a huge swathe of red poppies, providing a feast for the eyes and senses.

While Rupert was whistling through his teeth as they ambled through another breathtaking scene, Villi was secretly wishing he had packed ear plugs, or gaffer tape for Rupert's mug!

While Rupert thinks the scenery is lovely, he wonders where Midnight intends to set up camp?

Did you know that some varieties of sunflower can grow up to 15 feet high and 12 inches across their happy faces? The pets will find out whether these sunflowers are of that variety when they come across them on Le Mystère.

Rupert finally makes it back to the landing stage, where Halona is also about to embark and go home. What an adventure it has been! Rupert pockets a map of L'île Mystère as a momento. The guidebook says:

What an adventure this island will prove to be! There are opportunities for rambling up hill and down dale, and splendid views across lakes and mountains. There are fields of aromatic and colourful flowers. At one point in their exploration the pets will meet a huge reptile but rest assured—it will do no harm! Bon voyage!
