Easter and spring are times of joy as the earth awakens, plants are pushing forth from the soil, and the days are becoming warmer. Many baby animals are born in the spring, and life is burgeoning. Were you ever told, growing up, not to suck on your pencil because it would poison you? The “lead” in a pencil is actually a mixture of graphite and clay; the more graphite, the softer and darker the point. The mistake in terminology can be traced back to the ancient Romans who actually used pieces of lead to draw lines on papyrus scrolls in order to guide them in writing with a tiny brush called a pencillus. Lead is a very soft metal and pieces readily rub off. The Romans never realised that lead was potentially toxic.

They can handle a huge amount of people, and are beneficial to the elderly or those with reduced mobility, as an escalator can be fitted in the same space as stairs, and means they don't have to climb stairs. There is no waiting time either -- just stand on the first step, hold the handrail and be transported to the floor or floors above!
