What a transformation there is to even the most well known locations when lit up in neon lights after nightfall, whether it be a cathedral, hotel, monument or cityscape! Get those scarves and gloves on, though, and stick close to each other as you go from one stop to the next!

There are certain super touristy things to see, but pets seem to forget the artist quarter, where creativity shines, no matter what time of the day or night.

@ Big City Square
“Everything looks so different at night, doesn't it, Hearty?” whispered Choco.
“Well—we can enjoy it in two different ways then. I must say, I'm enjoying our night tour!"

Hearty and VioletMystic agreed that the variety of environments on their expedition was the best ever! Hearty and VioletMystic exchanged opinions on which their favourite attraction had been so far!

@ Cobblestone Court
“I think my torch is going flat,” said Daisy, shaking it worriedly.
“Don't worry, Daisy," said Hearty. "We're going to stick in this group as we go round so it's quite safe."

Worn from years of travel, the old courtyard cobbles silently sit and watch as pets pad on by, listening through the centuries all the stories being told. Why the stories they could tell, if only someone asked.

"There's something magical about watching rivers at night-time, isn't there, Kaida?" said Hearty dreamily.
"I'm going to try and capture the look of the moonlight on the water," said Kaida.

"You know, the settings on your camera have to be different for a night scene," remarked Hearty.
"I suppose this tour is a good opportunity to learn all about that, Hearty!" said Latte.

@ Cathedral at Dusk
“What have you got in your tote bag, Fala?” asked Hearty. “It looks very full!” “I’ve come prepared for anything, Hearty,” responded Fala. “There’s deck shoes, snowshoes, tennis shoes, flip-flops, flippers, walking boots, Wellington boots—you name it, I’ve got it!”

The golden sun dipped slowly below the horizon, showering the travelers in its warm glow, inviting everyone to enjoy the splendor.

“It's a lot darker than it was in the Labyrinth that time, isn't it, Hearty?” remarked Mochi, a little nervously.
“At least we shouldn't encounter any scorpions!" replied Hearty.

A modern twist of the clock tower, moving quickly into the digital age, lacking the old stye elegance but there's beauty in light as well.

@ The 1950s?
Hearty is enjoying Fantastic Buildings when Pixie comes along. "Look! A special prize!" says Pixie. Hearty looks down and sees something valuable. Pixie generously lets Hearty keep it!
Brick Road (distant)
Dark gray bricks make a durable road for light traffic (no motor vehicles allowed). If we allowed vehicles we'd have to charge a toll to earn revenue for maintenance.
The 1950s?
Wet wtih a fresh rain, the moonless and starless sky casts no ambient light upon the mainstreet, giving it an old fashioned feel of days gone by in black and white.

"Was that the call of a barn owl just then, Hearty?" asked Asteroidea.
"It might have been, Asteroidea! Let's pause for a minute and see if we hear it again."

Tiger was distracted by the sounds of loud rustling as Hearty unfolded a very large tourist map, in the course of which she succeeded in knocking Tiger’s hat off. “Put that away, do!” snapped Tiger. “We’re about to pose beside this amazing scene—the picture will be of your map if you don’t fold it up pronto!”

Bobbing on the open water, watching the city bloom to life as the sun sinks below the horizon is calming. Everypet wonders what the view would be from one of these skyscrapers?

“I could stay here forever, Hearty,” said Choose a name. “This is an amazing place!” “Well, you never know what lies ahead, Choose a name. I wouldn't be surprised if the next stop is even better!” said Hearty.

Hearty is admiring some Fantastic Buildings when George comes along. "Look! Another special prize!" says George. Hearty looks down and sees it. George generously lets Hearty keep it!

Standing in the observation deck and viewing the city below, one can almost see the race track just beyond the fog. Racing at breakneck speed in a circle might not be your idea of fun but then again, it just might be!

@ Lightning Crashes
“Ooh, it's just starting to drizzle, Hearty!” said Bo. “Can you hold my torch and map while I dig out my Pac-a-Mac?"
Hearty good-naturedly took charge of Bo's possessions while he emptied his rucksack of a pack of sandwiches, a Thermos flask, a pair of galoshes, a bag of toffees, a paperback novel, a bottle of mineral water, an address book, some postage stamps, an assortment of different coloured biros, a bottle opener, a couple of old train tickets, a handful of golden and silver moles, a hotel key, some shopping receipts and a selection of rather battered sachets of salt, sugar and tomato ketchup before locating the Pac-a-Mac right at the bottom. This he donned and then Hearty helped him put everything back in his rucksack.

Sure to stun and amaze, twin bolts streak from the sky to illuminate the scape below, while you enjoy watching from the comfort of your bedroom window. Smelling the whiff of ozone, you know it's getting closer, no need to count between thunderclaps!

@ Downtown Shop Center
Hearty opened her rucksack to change her hat. Moppet could see Hearty had a large, floppy sunhat, a balaclava, a rain hat, a woolly bobble hat, a beanie, a deerstalker hat and a swimming cap! “Did you bring a fez too?” Moppet asked Hearty.

This looks like the perfect place to rest from a day of travel, do some window shopping and rest weary paws.

Hearty is considering the merits of another Fantastic Building when nellie comes along. "Wow! That completes the set!" says nellie. Hearty is amazed to have collected all three items!

Hearty has seen enough buildings to plan her own town, and is tired out. Choose a name agrees it is time to go home and discuss which building they would most like to live in!
