@ Canopy of Maple Leaves
Li'l Aussie Digger and Talos are excited to find out what is in store for them in the Autumn Experience! As they enter, they each receive a free map! It reads:
Autumn in Green
Harvest-time in the countryside—what better time can there be? On this part of the tour, pets will start in a shady wood and have a picnic by an old country barn before continuing. They will discover an open air market of farmers' produce and be able to choose from the displayed apples, grapes, coffee beans, strawberries and chillies before viewing the coffee berries still growing. There are views of cornfields and flowers before finishing with a stroll along the river to admire the autumnal foliage.

As you stroll into this small village and begin to look around, don't forget to look up or you might miss the beautiful fall leaves overhead!

@ Path Leading to a Special Place
On his way round The Autumn Experience, Basil bumped into Li'l Aussie Digger. They both paused to drink in the beautiful scene before them before going on to the next location.

You know that this autumn realm is going to be a special stop as the path gently leads you by a rustic fence and into a sun-dappled wooded area.

@ Weathered Barn
Li'l Aussie Digger was in a hurry to move along and shake some more paws, but Queenie decided to stay where she was for a while, and sketch the scenery for this week's Art Challenge!

This autumn village is rich with history as you see the various wooden structures hand-built with time and effort, each board no doubt having a story to tell.

@ Sparkling Dew Drops
Li'l Aussie Digger and chendler shook paws, then looked around in awe, wishing they hadn’t already eaten their lunch! This was the most perfect place for a picnic!

This autumn realm lays at the bottom of several hillsides, causing its grasses to still have dew on them even at noon, as you (and your shoes) soon discovered upon your arrival.

@ Prairie Grass Before the Woods
Li'l Aussie Digger had to travel on alone, as Lady declared she had found paradise, and had no intention of moving on!

As you enter the village, you recall the beautiful prairie grass that preceded the woods, as each blade of grass, gently swaying back and forth with the breeze, began to melt the stress off your shoulders.

@ Flourishing Florist
"How on earth do you identify what this is from the thousands of things it could be?" asked Doctor Hoo.
"Well," said Li'l Aussie Digger, "you go through a checklist. Like what sort of leaves does it have, how are they arranged on the stem, do they have stalks, what's its habitat; that kind of thing. I'll lend you a book when we get home."

At the end of the fence and treeline leading into the village, you encounter the local florist and the special roses being cultivated. This is perfect as it allows you to purchase a rose to take to your host for the evening!

@ Bouquet of Roses
“My uncle grows these in his back garden,” observed Li'l Aussie Digger.
“Wow! He must surely have green fingers!” replied MK.

@ Strawberry Patch
“I hope we can buy more of this at our local farmer's market,” observed Li'l Aussie Digger, as he and Milko tucked into a delicious food sample!

As you continue into the village you see behind some of the market stalls and produce wagons a strawberry patch with just ripened and delicious strawberries ready for the picking!

@ An Abundance of Chili Peppers
“Great to meet you again, Charbon!” said Li'l Aussie Digger. “Come and have some of this farm-grown organic food—it’s absolutely yummy!”

One produce cart that you didn't expect to see was an overflowing cart of a variety of chili peppers, something that the locals love to munch on as an afternoon snack, as well as use in their favorite recipes.

“I hope we can buy more of this at our local farmer's market,” observed Li'l Aussie Digger, as he and Mystery tucked into a delicious food sample!

“These are great as a cake flavouring,” said Li'l Aussie Digger.
“You can add it to savoury dishes as well. It’s very versatile,” observed Gulliver.

One of the vendors has combined his freshly picked grapes with the special roses from the florist to create unique arrangements for the townsfolk's special days.

@ Unusual Flowers
“I’m going to have to spend a lot of time when we get back looking up what all these flowers are!” said Li'l Aussie Digger to Mor'du.

One market stall sells unique flowers, such as the Chinese lantern, the orange leaves of which form a protective cover for the plant's simple white flowers and poisonous fruit (when unripened - but not very tasty even when ripe!), which makes the orange leaves the real attention-grabber!

@ A Red Berry Patch
“Hey, Helmut!” called out Li'l Aussie Digger. “Come and have some of this—it’s delicious!”
Helmut was glad to rest and enjoy the food Li'l Aussie Digger shared with him.

Speaking of mornings, you'll find a market stall in this village that carries a neat combination of both red and green coffee berries, another favorite morning snack with the local pets, or travelers passing through, like you!

Inspired by the sunny day, Mischief said, “Wouldn't it be fun to work on the harvest?”
Li'l Aussie Digger took a more pragmatic view. “You’d have to be up before dawn every day and work for 12 hours practically non-stop!”
Mischief hastily revised his romantic harvest vision.
Traditional Coffee Beans
While the red and green coffee berries sound very appealing, you may just want a regular cup of coffee, made with the finest of beans. The beans are freshly ground for your specific order, so you know that it's going to be fresh and good!

@ Decorative Orange and Green Flowers
“These make a fine display, don’t they, Li'l Aussie Digger?” said Tundra, when she and Li'l Aussie Digger had shaken paws.

The villagers have taken to decorating their cabins, market stalls and even their produce carts with these fragrant flowers, which can brighten up even the gloomiest of days.

"This is a glorious specimen, Salem", observed Li'l Aussie Digger. "What a shame that in a month or so all this colour will be gone!"
"You know the best way to get colour in your garden all year, Li'l Aussie Digger?" said Salem. "Buy a garden gnome!"

Upon arriving at your night's lodgings, you present the arrangement of roses to your hosts, thanking them for their hospitality. A tradition in this autumn realm is to present any lodgers with a rose as well - so you find it very enjoyable to have the flower's wonderful fragrance to be in your room too!

@ Double Rainbow Dream
While Li'l Aussie Digger paused to enjoy the view, Whoot started scrabbling in her rucksack for her portable, folding camping chair. “What are you doing with that, Whoot?” asked Li'l Aussie Digger. “We’ll need to get going in a minute or we’ll be left behind!”

As you lay your head down for a good night's rest, you find yourself dreaming of the double rainbow you saw as you approached the outlying prairie. It made you feel like you were in for a double blessing once you came into the village.

@ Misty Yellow Flowers
Gulliver bent down to sniff the flower in front of him but recoiled hastily. “What’s up, Gulliver?” asked Li'l Aussie Digger.
“There’s a huge bumblebee on it!” said Gulliver.

The next morning after breakfast, you begin to head out for the next autumn realm and are blessed with seeing soft, small yellow flowers opening to the sun's rays while a very faint mist begins to lift.

@ The Village Pond
Li'l Aussie Digger and Wilford were entranced at reaching this stopping place and eagerly posed for a picture!

As you begin to make your way out of the village and back towards the woods, you take the time to stop by the village pond with its quiet waters and reflections of the morning's sunrise. You even take a moment to skip a stone or two!

@ Reflection of Fall Colors
Li'l Aussie Digger thought the scenery at this new stop was lovely and asked Leena if it would be possible to set up camp for the night!

A little further along the shore and you are blessed with the fall colors that greeted you the day before, only this time it is a blessing that's doubled as these colorful trees are mirrored upon the still waters of the village pond.

As the sun continues to rise, it lends its light upon the many trees that make up the wooded border of this autumn realm. You are glad for the day you had in the quiet village, but are excited for the new possibilities that lay beyond the woods!

@ Prairie Grass Awaits
Hermione shook paws with Li'l Aussie Digger and was just enjoying the view when she was distracted by loud rustling as Li'l Aussie Digger unfolded a very lengthy Autumn Experience itinerary, in the course of which he succeeded in knocking Hermione’s hat off. “Put that away, do!” snapped Hermione. “I’m about to take a photo of this amazing scene—the picture will be of your map if you don’t fold it up pronto!”

You once again enjoy feeling the gentle prairie grass against your paws and seeing its many unique colors as you make your way through its tall blades towards the dirt road you had just left yesterday.

@ Flowers Dripping with Morning Dew

As you reach the end of the prairie grass, you again experience the sparkling dew of the morning mist as it lingers on some of the realms' outer flowers. It has been a good journey!!
