Episode 6: Lunar New Year Dress

Get out that little red dress for the Lunar New Year festivities! The colour red is vitally important to Chinese culture, representing fire and energy, vitality, good luck and prosperity. This dress, with its narrow waist and bell shaped skirt, in vivid shades of red embellished with bamboo leaves is the perfect fit for this time! The Festival traditionally begins on the first day of the first lunar month in the Chinese calendar and for the next fortnight visits are made to family and to friends. The visitor will come bearing a small gift to the household, most often citrus fruit, which is said to bring wealth and good fortune. Guests are welcomed with tea and sweet treats served on a round or octagonal tray, symbolising togetherness. Usually the sweets are arranged in amounts divisible by eight as this is a lucky number. The first day of Lunar New Year represents new beginnings with renewed hopes for prosperity and happiness. There is excitement outside provided by Lion and Dragon dances performed in the streets.

Episode 7: "Celebration is so energetic and vibrant, is it not?" Homard proclaims to the tour group.

Episode 8: Homard is very excited by the way this acclaimed artwork, Blue Moon, by one of PnF's most talented artists, really pops! Cassiopeia and the group agree, and sincerely hope some more of this artist's works will be on display in the gallery!

Episode 9: "Portal to Another World is an elegant example of fantasy art" Homard declares dramatically, claws waving.
Cassiopeia admires the painting, but wishes Homard would be more careful, those claws are sharp!

Episode 10: Kathy’s Autumn Reflections is a fine example of this PnF artist’s mastery of colours and hues! This beautiful scene perfectly encapsulates the beauty of a PnF autumn, and also reflects it back at the viewer in its clear, still waters! With autumn just around the corner in PnF Land, Cassiopeia is delighted to receive such a beautiful scene to use in the weekly art challenge!

Episode 11: "This piece is long thought to be a representation of good vs. evil, and scholars have long debated the veracity of the claim," said Homard.

Personally, said Cassiopeia, I think it looks a lot like a delicious drink by the fire under the full moon.

Episode 12: "This pop culture icon is sure to bring a smile to any true patron of the arts, and will certainly become a valuable classic" Homard gushes ecstatically.

Episode 13: Entitled What If? this artist asks the onlooker to rethink nature, and what you can find there. Amazing things live in our natural world. What if there really are dragons living among us, but we're just too busy to see them?

Episode 14: "Trio has been much debated by contemporary art critics," explains Homard, "do these creatures represent pets unknown to us? Do those blank stares see past our facades, and into our very souls?"
Cassiopeia doesn't know about facades, but they do look quite cuddly...

Episode 15: Cassiopeia jumps up and down with glee upon being gifted a print of Syan's Eagle on the Wing, a beautiful landscape oil painting evoking feelings of peace and tranquility, and a sense that all is well in the PnF world! The warm hues in the sunrise are softened by the mist rising off the water, the stillness broken only by the slow glide of a watchful eagle.

Episode 16: "The simple title Fairy seems quite suitable to this piece," Homard explained.
Cassiopeia appreciates the enlightening descriptions, but sometimes it is nice to just look and enjoy...

Episode 17: Homard is busily describing Fireside Tales while Cassiopeia thinks back fondly to childhood memories of long ago campfires and the exciting stories shared there...

Episode 18: " The Life Within is a stunning new piece by one of our most prolific artists," boasted Homard.
Meanwhile, Cassiopeia can't remember whether the neighbor who promised to water the plants knows where the key is... *sigh*

Episode 19: Yasmeen's Treasure is a stunning scene reminiscent of a distant world, where dragons and dinos roam the land. Where priceless treasures push their way up through the planet’s core and provide stunning relief to what might otherwise have been a dry and barren landscape… Cassiopeia is bowled over with excitement when the entire tour group finds their own print of Yasmeen's Treasure and can hardly believe that it is really theirs to keep!

Episode 20: At some point, everypet dreams of going up in space, to explore the new lands, and communicate with a new race. However, with all the beauty of asteroids and space dust, one does wonder if they are truly bad or just depicted that way?

Episode 21: Homard directs the attention of Cassiopeia's tour group toward the next masterpiece awaiting their appreciation. Cassiopeia takes one look and blinks, because Cassiopeia is seeing an awful lot of yellow, which is pretty bright and sunny...but...all of that yellow is making Cassiopeia feel somewhat jaundiced! So Cassiopeia makes an instant decision to sign up for the Dry September movement, and join a gym, for the sake of Cassiopeia's liver and for Cassiopeia's overall health and well-being! Cassiopeia is pretty certain that most of the hares in this art are thinking the same thing, because they seem to be heading in the same direction...?

Episode 22: Homard introduces The Mystery as a fine example of contemporary religious art, created by one of PnF's young artists! Cassiopeia admires the composition and form of the figure praying, but spends a long time contemplating what message or meaning the misshapen figure on the cross conveys?

Episode 23: This piece is titled Fly me to the Moon . The artist took inspiration from a cult classic movie about a boy and his alien.

Episode 24: "In the Pink is a whimsical piece of art, celebrating PnF," explains Homard, as Cassiopeia's tummy rumbles loudly at the sight of that delicious looking cake!

Episode 25: After viewing all of the inspiring works in this section of Musee d’Art de Cannelle, Cassiopeia is feeling a little sad to have to return to a gourd house that looks exactly the same as every other gourd house in PnF Land, which is not terribly exciting...because if you've seen one gourd house, you've seen them all!

But suddenly Cassiopeia stumbles upon a quaint cottage, which looks very similar to one in a Monet masterpiece....
"A present for me?" asks Cassiopeia, hardly daring to hope!
