Episode 1/29: Summer is the best time for sports festivals. There was a rumour that Sam was going to create one, but since Sam is a turtle, it wasn’t that hard to beat him to it. The Mouse in Trousers got there first! He announced the most auspicious event of the year, thus:

"There shall be a magnificent festival of sport, in which the Fast and the Furriest shall compete to win one of a magnificent set of racing cars!"

Episode 2/29: Sam wasn’t pleased. As Captain of the Power Pets Sports Club, he sees himself as the authority on sport. So he climbed onto the stage and said he should have been in charge. The Mouse replied, off mike:

"If I left it to you, the entire competition would have been fixed from the beginning. Your Champions would have won everything. I hate cheating! My sports festival will be FAIR!"

Flounder, who likes to have his nose in everything, had followed Sam to see what he was up to. He hid from the Mouse, and heard everything, but was not sure whether Sam had seen him or not.

Episode 3/29: Next day, WHOOO"S A HOOT was wandering through Weston Plaza when he saw a sign: "Snoopers wanted! Meet at the Drunken Dolphin!"

Thinking he would like to snoop on the snoopers, WHOOO"S A HOOT went along and found Flounder with some strange pets he had never seen before.

Episode 4/29: “Oh, have you come about the job?” asked Flounder, finally noticing WHOOO"S A HOOT. “We could do with a Brown Owl in the team. We shall be trying to catch Sam’s Champions cheating in the games. Meet Owl Pacino, Jake and Ferdinand Junior. They are all experts in their sports, but they haven’t been around here long. I want someone who knows Pets ‘n’ Friends inside out to take charge of them. You’ll do! Just take notes on what they discover and then report back to me. If those Champions cheat, I’m going to make sure they pay for it!”

WHOOO"S A HOOT said he didn’t like cheating either, so he gladly agreed.

Episode 5/29: Flounder took the team outside. “It’s going to be hard work keeping up with the flow of events,” he said, “so I have provided the team with a horse.”

“But we can’t cover all 15 events, even with a horse!” said WHOOO"S A HOOT.

“Right, this team will be investigating Sailing, Tree Climbing and Firebreathing,” said Flounder. “There are bound to be expenses and you deserve a reward, so I shall be paying you in gems.

Episode 6/29: At the inaugural ceremony, all the competitors were gathered before the Mouse in Trousers, who had dressed in a wig to show the competitor’s oath would be legally binding. “As sole author of rules and regulations, I require you to repeat after me: I shall not cheat or play tricks on my opponents!”

As WHOOO"S A HOOT listened, he thought he could hear some deliberate mumbling, and saw quite a few paws being crossed behind the backs of the Champions.

“And don’t think you can get away with mumbling!” said the Mouse. “Rule 1: you must take the oath! If you don’t take it you are out, and if you break it you’re out. I’ve got you both ways!” WHOOO"S A HOOT suppressed a laugh as he noticed Sam the Turtle rolling his eyes. “May the Fast and Furriest pets win!” said the Mouse.

Episode 7/29: While keeping an eye out on Ferdinand, WHOOO"S A HOOT and friends lose sight of him. However, there is something about Fleurball that makes them think a second look might be called for. With all the monkeying around going on, pun intended, no one is surprised when Fleurball starts popping some first class performance enhancing bananas.

Episode 8/29: WHAT. THE. ACTUAL?! WHOOO"S A HOOT catches Fleurball in the act of bribing a judge, but just didn't get the camera up in time to gather proof. But with all the cheating going on around here, WHOOO"S A HOOT's not worried about being believed.

Episode 9/29: While WHOOO"S A HOOT and the crew were spying on Ferdinand, they sauntered over to the sailing event, checking to see how Skipper is handling all the stress of his competition. The group, seeing that nothing seemed out of place, might have missed the gas bombs that Skipper planted under the surface, and when the sailors bump into them, the gases escape, causing fits of laughter. And if you've ever burst into a fit of giggles, you know first hand that not much gets done!

Episode 10/29: Ferdinand hides in the closet, leaving WHOOO"S A HOOT and the investigators cleaning up a big mess, while he chomps down ghost peppers, sure to give him the winning edge in fire breathing! WHOOO"S A HOOT smelled something sulphury and spied Ferdinand chewing the peppers, and scribbled notes on his clipboard. WHOOO"S A HOOT wonders at all the clever things Ferdinand has concocted to use as cheats. Maybe if Ferdinand put as much time and energy in training as he does cheating, he could really be amazing!?

Episode 11/29: All Aboard! Shouted Ferdinand, as he quickly tossed the mooring lines off the ferry, leaving his competitors standing on the docks in shock and anger! WHOOO"S A HOOT was a little flummoxed as well, since it appeared no one would make the deadline to compete, save Ferdinand. WHOOO"S A HOOT made a note of the incident, the evidence starting to stack up against Ferdinand as a cheat.

Episode 12/29: Ferdinand, styled in his favorite pair of sunshades, craftily turned the competitors targets so they were in the direct view of the blazing sun, glinting off the chrome holders, blinding his audience and the participants of this round. WHOOO"S A HOOT whispered to his companions, and wondered aloud to them if this was truly a cheat or mere coincidence? Could Ferdinand truly be that nefarious?

Episode 13/29: Flounder, bobbing along in the waves, watches carefully the deck of Skipper's boat. A little repulsed at the on the yacht, Flounder gags a little as well, and wonders what Skipper could have possibly done to cause such mayhem? WHOOO"S A HOOT and his friends stand on deck, watching as Ferdinand circles above in his old vintage plane, wondering how this flight will factor into the next cheat?

Episode 14/29: While the spectators gazed at the incredible sight of the fading sun into the cover of darkness, Ferdinand took a little libation, counting on the cover of darkness to help conceal his crafty cheat. The concoction, centuries old, was one guaranteed to kick his fire breathing into high gear, giving him the edge he'd been craving. WHOOO"S A HOOT managed to catch a glimpse of the chugging, and after Ferdinand finished, grabbed the empty cup and sent it off for forensic testing.

Episode 15/29: While prepping the pool for the triathlon, Ferdinand accidentally dropped some Experiment 4738 into the water, counting on the sleeping drought to incapacitate the other swimmers. Ferdinand already took the antidote, a good swig of Santa's Naughty Cocktail, to ensure his first place podium. Observing from a distance, WHOOO"S A HOOT makes a note that there are shenanigans in the water, but luckily no sharks.

Episode 16/29: Ferdinand, adored by the cheering crowd, wheeled out onto the target field in his old fashioned fire truck, dressed up as a firefighter. Taking the targets out, he blasted the competitor's targets, one by one, until they were all coated in fire retardant, ensuring his win today. The crowd, accustomed to Ferdinand's little quirks, roared with laughter at the sight, never once believing that the canister actually held anything that would give Ferdinand an edge. WHOOO"S A HOOT however, along with the investigative crew, had a sinking feeling this might be one of many of Ferdinand's wily cheats.

Episode 17/29: Imagine that, WHOOO"S A HOOT said as the group of investigators followed Ferdinand to outer space, do you think that there really are magical flamethrowing properties in a comet? Convinced that Ferdinand wouldn't waste time if there wasn't something to be gained from this outlandish trip, WHOOO"S A HOOT made yet another note about his cheating ways.

Episode 18/29: Ferdinand, seeking a warm place to rest his weary bones, climbed into the eternal flame. Rumour has it that the flames have a charging property, and that by soaking up the fire and brimstone, Ferdinand basks about waiting for the next event. WHOOO"S A HOOT and the inspectors are amazed at his boldness, but no one wants to climb up and investigate too closely, they are rather fond of their fur and feathers.

Episode 19/29: Zoom! Zoom! Zoom! Ferdinand flew up on the official team bus, carrying the competition, and careened past, covering everyone aboard in a sheen of dust. Ferdinand chuckled a little, as that was exactly how he liked his competition, in the dust. The driver, unable to see the road ahead, pulled to the side, waiting... Unfortunately, it also meant that the bus would miss the event time. WHOOO"S A HOOT and the team, grabbing up a fast horse, tried to keep up with Ferdinand, but knew that he would reach the field first, and WHOOO"S A HOOT wondered what other cheats he might come up with?

Episode 20/29: Underhandedness and cheats, Ferdinand has it down to a T! Ordering the newest box office hit, and setting up a movie night, Ferdinand snuck out while the competitors binged on show tunes and popcorn, popping candy bits and sipping sodas. While Ferdinand was guaranteed a good night's sleep, the competition stumbled up to the start line the next day, bleary eyed but still singing that ear worm about a spoonful of sugar.

Episode 21/29: Ferdinand, while the spectators look on in wonder, boldly saunters up to the targets on the field, and starts to squirt his intended target with a liquid that smells suspiciously like lighter fluid. When asked about the content, Ferdinand quietly shrugs his shoulders, and explained to the Inquiry Board that the smell is actually his new aftershave, and he was putting water on his target to not give himself an unfair advantage over his competitors. WHOOO"S A HOOT scratched on the clipboard, making notes and not quite believing Ferdinand's tale, but would he really cheat so boldly?

Episode 22/29: Hucking a snake oil charm, Ferdinand convinces the flame throwers to inject some of this Super Flame Throwing Oil, guaranteed to blow your mind and the target out of the arena. Ferdinand giggled a little as each competitor queued up to get their shot, which was actually a special concoction of water and flower water, with a secret ingredient Ferdinand found prevents flames from forming. WHOOO"S A HOOT, scribbles a note on the chart, wondering how this could be a cheat?

Episode 23/29: The competitors pile onto Ferdinand's yacht and head out to distant seas, landing on a beach full of lush green leaves and tropical wonders. Ferdinand is quick to point out the strange animals and flora and fauna surrounding them. As soon as everyone is engrossed in checking out the wonders, Ferdinand quickly darts off in his boat, leaving WHOOO"S A HOOT and the others stranded in paradise, unable to get to the next round of fire breathing trials. WHOOO"S A HOOT was pretty sure that Ferdinand meant to leave them there, but he's such a great guy, WHOOO"S A HOOT is confused?

Episode 24/29: Scratching notes quickly on the clipboard, the amount of cheats against Ferdinand piling up, WHOOO"S A HOOT does a double take when seeing Ferdinand flying through the air, hurling himself with great breakneck speed towards the target, putting on a dazzling display of flame throwing ability. And, wait, is that an actual flamethrower Ferdinand is concealing, badly I might add?

Episode 25/29: The Fast and Furriest Games were all over bar the prize giving. The team had collected a vast dossier of information. It was all WHOOO"S A HOOT could do to remember all the details when he reported back to Flounder with the rest of the team.

Episode 26/29: The Mouse in Trousers was disappointed that the Champions had won all the events. "Still," he said to himself, "at least I forced them to win honestly. That's all that matters."

"Wait a minute!" said Flounder. "I have in my fins a vast dossier listing countless ways in which these pets have CHEATED!"

The Mouse was overjoyed. "Rule 1!" he cried. "No cheating!"

"We mumbled the oath!" replied the Champions. "We never took it!"

"Rule 1 also says you can't compete if you didn't take the oath!" said the Mouse triumphantly. "You're not only disqualified, you are under a life time ban from any event held by me!"

The Champions exited the stage, moaning and groaning.

Episode 27/29: “But what shall I do with the race cars?” wondered the Mouse in Trousers.

“Is it too late to have a Rule 2?” asked Flounder. “Not if Rule 2 says it isn’t too late,” replied the Mouse. “Rule 2; rules can only be added before the prizes have been given, and snoopers get cheats' prizes!” said Flounder.

The Mouse was overjoyed. Each of the team stepped forward to receive a race car, even though the Mouse had to get an extra one for WHOOO"S A HOOT.

Episode 28/29: Back at the Club House, Sam the Turtle was incandescent.

“**** the Mouses’ rules!” he yelled. (He was having some trouble with the swearing filter). “I say again ****! What are the rules of the Power Pets Sports Club?”

The Champions looked crestfallen, but had to reply: “There is only one rule: never get caught.”

“****, ***** and ******!” roared Sam. “You’re all fired!”

Episode 29/29: It was a happy day for Flounder. As WHOOO"S A HOOT prepared to drive home, Flounder had another surprise for him. “When I saw the look on the Champions’ faces, I knew it had been worth all those gems. Far more, just to see them thrown out. Here’s your questly bonus of 20 GM; you deserve it!
