My pets are in awe of these beautiful eggs—they would love to try to paint their own one year. Easter and spring are times of joy as the earth awakens, plants are pushing forth from the soil, and the days are becoming warmer. Many baby animals are born in the spring, and life is burgeoning. May these eggs bring you joy and be a reminder of the earth renewing itself.

Looking like a whipped-up marshmallow spread in the sky. I propose a day of relaxing, we will find a field and lay down on some grass and look up at the clouds and play a game about what they look like to each of us.

Rainbow Over The Grey Sea
A spectacular rainbow just touching the land. Rainbows and hummingbirds (which are like tiny flying rainbows) bring smiles to all who view them. The science behind what makes a rainbow is interesting but it will never be as much fun as the stories you can dream up to explain that bow of colours in the sky.

A gale is officially defined as a wind of between 32 and 63 miles per hour. A wind blowing from 4 to 31mph is a breeze.

Some like balloons a lot—some, however, do not. Balloons can be colourful, or have fun saying on them—if you choose to enjoy balloons, please dispose of them safely after, so they don’t pollute the water and land and cause distress for our animal friends.

A natural gas vent in Iraq known as The Eternal Fire has been burning continuously for over 4000 years, and it has been mentioned by Herodotus, Plutarch and in the Old Testament Book of Daniel.

"Did you know you can start a fire with ice, Dorothy?" asked Fala.
"How on earth do you do that?" queried Dorothy.
"Well, you need a disc of clear ice shaped into a lens, then use it as you would a magnifying glass to shine the sun's rays onto flammable material, such as dry grass."

The Milky Way Galaxy, with spiral arms outstretched, moves through the cosmos devouring other galaxies—and far into the future, the Milky Way Galaxy will itself be devoured. From our viewpoint on Earth, it appears as a milky band—millions of stars lighting up the deep dark of space.

"Oh, Lilly! It says in our tour guide that no one knows who invented the fire hydrant, because its patent was destroyed in a fire in Washington in 1836!" declared Dorothy.
"That is ironic for sure!" responded Lilly.

This classic Hatz CB-1, 1960s biplane is built from a kit. The CB-1 is a tandem dual-control two-seat biplane with fixed tailwheel landing gear and is powered by a variety of nose-mounted small engines. Steel tube fuselage and tail with wooden wings.

@ Sunglasses Everyone
“If there's time at the end of the day when we get back to our accommodation, I might do some initial sketches for a watercolour painting from the postcard I bought in the gift shop," Ughly said, offering Dorothy a toffee from the bag and then unwrapping one for himself.
“That sounds like a good plan, Ughly!" said Dorothy. "Very relaxing, and your painting will be a great souvenir of our trip through the Elements!"
Sunglasses Everyone
The sun is so bright today that you really need to wear sunglasses if you hope to avoid a headache and eye strain. If there is not enough light, you cannot see—too much light, and you cannot see. The perfect amount of sun, just like the perfect porridge, is what we want.

@ A Mystical Place
“You know what, Dorothy?” said Likey. “Seeing all these amazing photographs makes me want to take up photography myself!”
“Sounds like a great idea!" replied Dorothy. "There’s an evening class you can join when we get back!"
A Mystical Place
A small craft sets off on an adventure; the pets are excited and wonder what they will see. Passing through a bank of clouds, the sea and sky change. This is not any place the pets have ever seen before. Were they magically transported to a new planet. Is this a dream, are they all still at home tucked up in bed.
They gaze in wonder at the stars that shine brighter and closer than any stars they are used to; the water is as still as a sheet of glass, the pets want to reach down and grab a star reflection, so solid do they appear.

@ When Sky And Water Become As One
"At the time of the Great Fire of London in 1666 there was no fire brigade such as we have today. Men from the Navy used gunpowder to blow up houses in the path of the fire to halt its spread!"
"Goodness me, Choose a name! Drastic, or what? Did it work?" queried Dorothy.
"It sort of worked—eventually! But it took some days, during which time a large part of London had been destroyed."
When Sky And Water Become As One
It is easy to see how one could lose their way when out at sea when the sky and sea are the same colour and there are no other guiding landmarks. Beautiful and peaceful to look upon from a safe and sure place.

"After the Great Fire of London in 1666, businessmen started house insurance companies. They had to be careful because if another fire started they could lose a lot of money. To get around this, they ended up hiring their own fire brigade just in case a fire did start! This is when the first brigade started."
"It sounds a bit hit-and-miss, Dorothy!" remarked Suzie.
"It was, yes. Any of the insurance companies' fire brigades weren't allowed to put out a fire of a house which was insured with a different company!"
"They'd just watch it burn, then, Dorothy?"
"Well—I guess that was how it went, Suzie, yes!"

When the sky is filled with clouds and depending on the time of day you can get the most spectacular colour displays, from light pastels to vibrant hues. Ever-changing and ever-fascinating, always look up or you may miss a most marvellous show.

When it’s a hot, muggy summer day, you’ve probably heard the word “humid.” But what does that mean, exactly? Relative humidity is the amount of water that the air can hold before it rains. Humidity is usually measured in percentages, so the highest level of relative humidity—right before it rains—is 100 percent.

Fancy Face read out from the brochure: " 'Sea breezes occur because heat from the sun takes longer to warm the sea than the land, creating a difference in air pressure.' So—there it is."

Jade pondered. "I don't know, Dorothy, who is it?"
"It's Walt Disney World. The park launches the fireworks with compressed air instead of gunpowder to reduce fumes and gain better height and timing."

"Hey, this is interesting, Dorothy!" declared Jethro. "It says here that if the entire world’s water were fit into a 4 litre jug, the fresh water available for humans and pets would equal only about one tablespoon."
Dorothy fidgeted with the corner of her brochure. "I'm not sure I follow, Jethro!"
"It's a proportion thing, Dorothy. Nearly 97% of the world’s water is salty or otherwise undrinkable. Another 2% is locked in ice caps and glaciers. That leaves just 1% for all of our needs!"

Have you ever seen such a substantial cloud, a cloud with so much personality it almost seems as if it could talk to you? What would it say if it began to speak? The air in Earth’s atmosphere is made up of approximately 78 percent nitrogen and 21 percent oxygen. Air also has small amounts of lots of other gases, too, such as carbon dioxide, neon, and hydrogen.

Oh, what fun! We are all going on a balloon ride—high in the air. The pets have packed their favourite snacks and brought their scarves—in case the air is cool. They are chattering and chirping about what they might see once the balloon is in the air.

“Oh hello, Dorothy!” cried Iolanthe. “Didn’t we bump into each other at the Fiat racetrack in Turin last July? This is quite the change of scene, isn't it!”

There are blustery days and snowy days, but I think this type of day would make a particular little donkey happy. Not everyone will love a grey day—on the bright side—when the sun does break through, it is such a delight that the dim greyness was worth it.

@ Rainbow Over The Sea
Air was considered a “pure” element, but in fact the air that’s all around us is made up of a variety of gases: primarily nitrogen and oxygen, with almost 1% argon and even smaller amounts of carbon dioxide and other elements such as krypton and helium. The composition of air is just right for life on Earth, though.

Flowering Branch, Violet
Walking down the street, marvelling at the flowers awakening to the spring warmth. The new buds on trees bloom into a dazzling array of blossoms delighting the senses and gladening the heart. These wonderful violet blooms adorning delicate branches are a welcome addition to the garden.
