What a transformation there is to even the most well known locations when lit up in neon lights after nightfall, whether it be a cathedral, hotel, monument or cityscape! Get those scarves and gloves on, though, and stick close to each other as you go from one stop to the next!

There are certain super touristy things to see, but pets seem to forget the artist quarter, where creativity shines, no matter what time of the day or night.

@ Big City Square
“Hey, Daisy Flower, how are you doing? Long time no see! Are you a night owl?"
Daisy Flower shook paws with Trish. “Well—a lot of these attractions are so lit up you wouldn't think it was night-time!" she said.

“If we stayed up long enough, we could catch the sunrise, Daisy Flower,” said Rowan.
“Gosh, I don't know about that, Rowan! It would be amazing but I'm not sure if I could keep my eyes open long enough!"

“Ooh, it's just starting to drizzle, Daisy Flower!” said FLAPPY. “Can you hold my torch and map while I dig out my Pac-a-Mac?"
Daisy Flower good-naturedly took charge of FLAPPY's possessions while she emptied her rucksack of a pack of sandwiches, a Thermos flask, a pair of galoshes, a bag of toffees, a paperback novel, a bottle of mineral water, an address book, some postage stamps, an assortment of different coloured biros, a bottle opener, a couple of old train tickets, a handful of golden and silver moles, a hotel key, some shopping receipts and a selection of rather battered sachets of salt, sugar and tomato ketchup before locating the Pac-a-Mac right at the bottom. This she donned and then Daisy Flower helped her put everything back in her rucksack.

Like a sea of lava, heading to the ocean, so is the sea of pets traveling in the big city, on a river of light.

@ Weary Way Inn
While Daisy Flower paused to drink in the view, Caroline Piper started scrabbling in his rucksack for his portable, foldable camping chair. “What are you doing with that, Caroline Piper?” asked Daisy Flower. “We’ll need to get going in a minute or we’ll be left behind!”

Daisy Flower is enjoying Fantastic Buildings when Népomucène Bibliophilus comes along. "Look! A special prize!" says Népomucène Bibliophilus. Daisy Flower looks down and sees something valuable. Népomucène Bibliophilus generously lets Daisy Flower keep it!
Brick Road (distant)
Dark gray bricks make a durable road for light traffic (no motor vehicles allowed). If we allowed vehicles we'd have to charge a toll to earn revenue for maintenance.
The 1950s?
Wet wtih a fresh rain, the moonless and starless sky casts no ambient light upon the mainstreet, giving it an old fashioned feel of days gone by in black and white.

“What have you got in your tote bag, Zoey?” asked Daisy Flower. “It looks very full!” “I’ve come prepared for anything, Daisy Flower,” responded Zoey. “There’s deck shoes, snowshoes, tennis shoes, flip-flops, flippers, walking boots, Wellington boots—you name it, I’ve got it!”

xiaolu was distracted by the sounds of loud rustling as Daisy Flower unfolded a very large tourist map, in the course of which she succeeded in knocking xiaolu’s hat off. “Put that away, do!” snapped xiaolu. “We’re about to pose beside this amazing scene—the picture will be of your map if you don’t fold it up pronto!”
