@ Canopy of Maple Leaves
Rubens and Priya are excited to find out what is in store for them in the Autumn Experience! As they enter, they each receive a free map! It reads:
Autumn in Green
Harvest-time in the countryside—what better time can there be? On this part of the tour, pets will start in a shady wood and have a picnic by an old country barn before continuing. They will discover an open air market of farmers' produce and be able to choose from the displayed apples, grapes, coffee beans, strawberries and chillies before viewing the coffee berries still growing. There are views of cornfields and flowers before finishing with a stroll along the river to admire the autumnal foliage.

Rubens and BLUEY were entranced at reaching this stopping place and eagerly posed for a picture!

@ Weathered Barn
“Time to move on and shake the next paw!” observed Rubens. Sapphire Rose agreed, but said she was going to stay here awhile and collect pine cones.

This autumn village is rich with history as you see the various wooden structures hand-built with time and effort, each board no doubt having a story to tell.

@ Sparkling Dew Drops
“I’ve written a postcard to Mrs Eucalyptus about this amazing Autumn Experience!” said Rubens. “She’ll wish she were here! Where’s the nearest postbox?”
Foxie shielded her eyes and rotated 360°, elaborately scanning the horizon. “I don’t know how it comes about, but they appear not to have thought to provide a postbox here, Rubens. How remiss of them!” Seeing Rubens’s ears beginning to droop, Foxie added, “Don’t worry, you can post your card after this leg of the Experience!”
Sparkling Dew Drops
This autumn realm lays at the bottom of several hillsides, causing its grasses to still have dew on them even at noon, as you (and your shoes) soon discovered upon your arrival.

@ Prairie Grass Before the Woods
“Oh hello, Rubens!” cried Mac. “Didn’t we bump into each other at Crocodile Creek a while ago?”

As you enter the village, you recall the beautiful prairie grass that preceded the woods, as each blade of grass, gently swaying back and forth with the breeze, began to melt the stress off your shoulders.

@ Flourishing Florist
“My uncle grows these in his back garden,” observed Rubens.
“Wow! He must surely have green fingers!” replied Sophia.

At the end of the fence and treeline leading into the village, you encounter the local florist and the special roses being cultivated. This is perfect as it allows you to purchase a rose to take to your host for the evening!

@ Bouquet of Roses
"Moriarty, was that last one we looked at a thorn bush with roses? Or a rose bush with thorns?" asked Rubens.

In fact, these roses are so special that you decide to take an arrangement with you to your host's home!

@ Strawberry Patch
Esmerelda and Rubens shook paws with each other and compared notes as to how their respective trips had gone so far, and which was the most delicious harvest item they had each come across.

As you continue into the village you see behind some of the market stalls and produce wagons a strawberry patch with just ripened and delicious strawberries ready for the picking!

@ An Abundance of Chili Peppers
“I hope we can buy more of this at our local farmer's market,” observed Rubens, as he and Kia tucked into a delicious food sample!

One produce cart that you didn't expect to see was an overflowing cart of a variety of chili peppers, something that the locals love to munch on as an afternoon snack, as well as use in their favorite recipes.

“I’m going to try growing these at home!” announced Rubens, after he and Jewel had tucked into some yummy organic harvest food!

Snowball and Rubens shook paws with each other and compared notes as to how their respective trips had gone so far, and which was the most delicious harvest item they had each come across.

Orchid and Rubens shook paws and then they both admired the magnificent floral display beside them.

One market stall sells unique flowers, such as the Chinese lantern, the orange leaves of which form a protective cover for the plant's simple white flowers and poisonous fruit (when unripened - but not very tasty even when ripe!), which makes the orange leaves the real attention-grabber!

Arthur and Rubens counted out their silver moles and bought some of the harvest food. “That one wins first prize for me!” declared Arthur.

Rubens and PI PI shook paws before sitting down to enjoy an autumnal harvest snack. “There’s nothing like farm-fresh food, is there, Rubens?” said PI PI.

Speaking of mornings, you'll find a market stall in this village that carries a neat combination of both red and green coffee berries, another favorite morning snack with the local pets, or travelers passing through, like you!

Rubens and Fergus shook paws before sitting down to enjoy an autumnal harvest snack. “There’s nothing like farm-fresh food, is there, Rubens?” said Fergus.

While the red and green coffee berries sound very appealing, you may just want a regular cup of coffee, made with the finest of beans. The beans are freshly ground for your specific order, so you know that it's going to be fresh and good!

“What’s this flower called?” Rubens said to Sonata. “Er—I only know the Latin name for it,” said Sonata and hastily changed the subject.

The villagers have taken to decorating their cabins, market stalls and even their produce carts with these fragrant flowers, which can brighten up even the gloomiest of days.

Milk bent down to sniff the flower in front of her but recoiled hastily. “What’s up, Milk?” asked Rubens.
“There’s a huge bumblebee on it!” said Milk.

Upon arriving at your night's lodgings, you present the arrangement of roses to your hosts, thanking them for their hospitality. A tradition in this autumn realm is to present any lodgers with a rose as well - so you find it very enjoyable to have the flower's wonderful fragrance to be in your room too!

Rubens normally avoided tourist hotspots but he was glad he had come, especially since meeting his friend Starlite here!

As you lay your head down for a good night's rest, you find yourself dreaming of the double rainbow you saw as you approached the outlying prairie. It made you feel like you were in for a double blessing once you came into the village.

“These make a fine display, don’t they, Rubens?” said Gulliver, when he and Rubens had shaken paws.

The next morning after breakfast, you begin to head out for the next autumn realm and are blessed with seeing soft, small yellow flowers opening to the sun's rays while a very faint mist begins to lift.

@ The Village Pond
Rubens and Yay had shaken paws and took some time to enjoy the super view in a companionable silence!

As you begin to make your way out of the village and back towards the woods, you take the time to stop by the village pond with its quiet waters and reflections of the morning's sunrise. You even take a moment to skip a stone or two!

A little further along the shore and you are blessed with the fall colors that greeted you the day before, only this time it is a blessing that's doubled as these colorful trees are mirrored upon the still waters of the village pond.

“What have you got in your tote bag, midnught?” asked Rubens. “It looks very full!”
“I’ve come prepared for anything the weather can throw at us, Rubens,” responded midnught. “There’s deck shoes, snowshoes, tennis shoes, flip-flops, flippers, walking boots, Wellington boots—you name them, I’ve got them!”

As the sun continues to rise, it lends its light upon the many trees that make up the wooded border of this autumn realm. You are glad for the day you had in the quiet village, but are excited for the new possibilities that lay beyond the woods!

@ Prairie Grass Awaits
“Shall we take a selfie?” Rubens asked Spirit as they drank in the peaceful scene and admired each other’s purchases of harvest produce.

You once again enjoy feeling the gentle prairie grass against your paws and seeing its many unique colors as you make your way through its tall blades towards the dirt road you had just left yesterday.

@ Flowers Dripping with Morning Dew
"I think I'll take a cutting of the plant in that tub over there," said Rubens. The label says it's 'vigorous' and 'fearless'."
George sniffed. "That's gardeners' talk for 'an invasive species that will take over your entire garden if permitted'!"

As you reach the end of the prairie grass, you again experience the sparkling dew of the morning mist as it lingers on some of the realms' outer flowers. It has been a good journey!!

Rubens is enjoying the Autumn Experience when Mochi comes along. "Look! A special prize!" says Mochi. Rubens looks down and sees something valuable. Mochi generously lets Rubens keep it!
