Buddee and B RAD are excited to find out what is in store for them in the Autumn Experience! As they enter, they each receive a free map! It reads:
Fall Fairground South
Roll up! Roll up! After sunset the fairground is transformed into a glittering arena of swirling lights, with a backdrop of squawks, yelps and howls from pets clinging on for dear life to the scary rollercoaster and whirling round on the fluorescently lit big wheel! The best view is of course from the top, so c'mon, everypet, and have the experience of your life! For pets preferring a gentler ride, hold on tightly to the reins while our carousel horses look after you on a circular journey under a blue starry canopy. Then it's time to indulge in candy, popcorn, gingerbread and pumpkin pie made from the fall harvest! Hopefully everypet will have enough silver moles left to buy a magnificent helium balloon to take home ...

“Why is that ride so fast, and why has it got all those loopy bits, Buddee?” asked Koo.
“To make it exciting!” said Buddee. “They make it accelerate by spinning the route in a circle!”

“C’mon, Choose a name, let’s check out this ride!" chirped Buddee happily. “I can’t wait to get me some g-force!” Choose a name trotted—not quite so enthusiastically—in Buddee’s wake.

"No, the merry-go-round has more horse power!" said Buddee.

“The trouble with eating this, Icy,” observed Buddee, “is that it’s very moreish. You really don’t want to stop at one portion!”
”Another go on that roller coaster will put a crimp on your appetite quite nicely, I’ve found!” said Icy.

“Hello again, Buddee!” called Bluey~*. “Do you want to join me on this ride?”
“You bet—let me just finish my ice cream!” Bluey~* waited while Buddee had the last lick of ice cream and munched the last inch of cornet, then they excitedly queued up for the ride!

“That should keep me going till I get home tonight,” said Roxas to Buddee, while crumpling his used food container and placing it carefully in a litter bin.

Sophia and Buddee, meeting by the snack bar, shook paws before carefully choosing what they would have to eat. Everything looked so tempting!

Mochi got carefully down from the ride, stumbling slightly and holding tightly onto the sides. "I say, you do look a bit green, Mochi, old thing!" said Buddee. "I'm reminded of when you got seasick on our Crocodile Creek trip!"
"I was not seasick," said Mochi with dignity. "I had merely eaten something that disagreed with me."

Ferris wheels are named after George W. Ferris, a US engineer from Pittsburgh, who built the first one for the World Expo in Chicago in 1893. Expo visitors found unexpected excitement and novelty. Not only the Ferris wheel but the amazing new wonder that ran it—electricity—were presented for the first time in America.

“Hi, Buddee!” called out Nermal Stingray. “Are you going to join me in having a tasty snack before we go on the other rides?” Buddee ordered its own portion, and Nermal Stingray passed a paper serviette to them.

Buddee was listening enraptured to the music emerging from the nearby carousel. “My Mum used to sing this, Twiggy!” she exclaimed excitedly. "Music allures, graceful and sweet, bidding us dance, airy and fleet—” she waltzed in a ragged circle and accidentally bumped into the carnival novelties stand. “Ooh! I’ll buy one of those while I'm here, Twiggy!” she said.

Helium is the second lightest and second most abundant element in the observable universe. Its use in filling balloons for our delight is a very minor one, but one we love!
