Stryper gazed around in awe, while Svaha mumbled and grumbled about Stryper's shortcut being no shortcut at all, if the blisters on her paws were anything to go by!

The poppy can have many symbolic meanings in different cultures, for example, restful sleep and recovery. For others, it is a cheery harbinger of summer because of its size and intense colors. On this island there is a huge swathe of red poppies, providing a feast for the eyes and senses.

As the pets jostle for position on top of Panorama Peak, they can see stretched out below them and far into the distance all the meadows, lakes, forests, hills and mountains of L'Île Mystère. What an adventure it will be to explore it all!

Stryper was becoming increasingly irritated with the constant clicking and beeping of Midnight's camera disturbing the peace and quiet, so Stryper moved purposefully on without her!

Stryper finally makes it back to the landing stage, where Garth is also about to embark and go home. What an adventure it has been! Stryper pockets a map of L'île Mystère as a momento. The guidebook says:

What an adventure this island will prove to be! There are opportunities for rambling up hill and down dale, and splendid views across lakes and mountains. There are fields of aromatic and colourful flowers. At one point in their exploration the pets will meet a huge reptile but rest assured—it will do no harm! Bon voyage!
