Francois lived in a sty, which was just a few walls around a heap of mud for rolling in. He dreamed of making a stylish house he could live in. But houses cost money.

One day Francois decided he had had enough of fireberries, so he locked up his sty. He took his trusty wheelbarrow and walked off through the endless groves of fireberries to find other food.

After a while he came across a grove of green berries. They were not often eaten, because the twigs they grew on did not bear much fruit. But he had an idea, so he gathered a few branches, not just the fruit, and put them in his wheelbarrow.

The gnome had no interest in berries, as he preferred sour tasting food. He had made a map of all the berry groves nearby, so he could find his way out of them. But he no longer used it as he now knew the whole map by heart. So he gave it to Francois.

On his way home, Francois realised between the groves of the berries everyone liked were little groves of strange twiggy bushes with few berries on them; familiar colours like purple and blue, but also dark blue, orange, green [which he had already found] and strangest of all, dotted green.

Francois had invented a gourmet experience! Soon pigs from all around came to his sty to buy his berries. He hired an asthmatic wolf to guard the proceeds.

That was not the end for Francois. Other animals turned out to like his berry rainbows. So he sold bushes to other pigs and they all became capitalist pigs.
