I was sometimes a lonely child, having a brother 5 years older than me and no sisters. I would sit on a pillow, at the edge of my window, and talk to my favorite stuffed rabbit. I would pretend she was talking back to me and saying lovely things. Then I would daydream for a short time before going to bed. I felt comforted and cheerful just having had a "chat" with my "friend".
