Red-Eyed Tree Frog

The harlequin of the rainforest, the red-eyed tree frog sports vivid clashing colours as a defense mechanism. If predators approach, this clever amphibian bulges his bright red eyes, waves his flaming orange feet, moves his neon green body, and exposes his vibrant blue and yellow flanks. This startle coloration strategy enables the red-eyed tree frog leap to safety while stunned rainforest birds and snakes make other menu choices.

When night falls, the nocturnal red-eyed tree frog becomes the rainforest entertainer. He adds juggling acts, magic tricks, and stand-up comedy to his jester costume to bring laughter and cheer to rainforest creatures. At times, the tree frog’s humour skills are used as grief therapy for homeless rainforest animals whose habitat has been destroyed. A comforter and friend of the broken, the compassionate red-eyed tree frog is the cheerleader of the rainforest. Are you not cheered up just looking at this multi-hued little clown?
