Shamrock Turtle
Shhh....please keep your voice down. I tend to startle easily! I may be very shy, but you can often find me swimming around small lakes and shallow ponds - I'm not very confident in my swimming abilities though the other turtles say I should be. They tell me all the time I'm a great swimmer, but I'm not so sure...I'm just so different from them.
If I'm not swimming, I'm often laying in patches of clover, I just love them. I get told that's why I have clover all over me, because I spend so much time there. I don't know about that...I just know it's super comfy to lay in and smells so good! Sometimes I'll spend all night just sitting in my clover patches, staring up at the stars in wonder...

Distance swimmingDolphins have always been very playful, proudly showing off their abilities to leap high into the air and pirouette their way into the depths, reminiscent of a chorus line in a famous ballet! But dolphins are also very social, and soon realised that their friends the manatees, sea turtles and fish did not share their grace or dexterity.
So the dolphins conceived of an activity that all of their friends could join in with them and enjoy. Distance swimming races…which the stodgy older turtles secretly refer to as “organised drowning”…
