| Pearl White Peacock
Well, well. Aren’t I just the finest thing since sliced bread? I know you all adore me. Who could not? So I shall stand a little taller. Raise my chin a little higher. Spread my tail a little further. That is what you all want to see is it not? After all, there is nothing as fine as wonderful, young me.
I am ready for my photo shoot! Is your camera out? I know it is going to be a long hard day of looking pretty and strutting my stuff but I am up for the job. Gotta earn those GMs somehow you know. I just hope the backdrops you have chosen allow my gorgeous feathers to shine to their fullest. No winter scenes if you know what I mean. A pair of random eyes peeking out of a snowbank would not do me justice at all. Now let’s talk about that lighting situation…
*wink wink* Come on over sweetheart. Come a little closer. Don’t be shy. I won’t bite…unless… I can spread my tail for you if you would like. Let you see those magical pearl feathers glisten in the rays of the sun. They match the twinkle I see in your eye. I know it was meant to be. Don’t let this opportunity slip you by! Find FoodYour pet becomes an expert at finding its own food! BirdsongBirdsong is as old as time. Birds sing to announce their ownership of territory, to find a mate, or just for the joy of living. Of course they all sing completely different tunes, but all birds understand the nuances of other bird’s songs, even though they may sound entirely different.
There is a natural order of things. Little tweeting birds hear one another in the hedges; hawks scream in the skies; blackbirds warble across the fields. And they ignore other species.
But when the wrens first saw a microphone and realised they could make themselves heard by everybird everywhere, that changed all the rules. Suddenly it wasn’t good enough to have just the right song for your environment; you had to scream just to be heard over the wrens!
Peace could only be achieved by giving everybird a microphone, but only in designated places. Then with everybird having an equal chance to be heard, competitive interspecies birdsong began. And the fields and skies went back to the natural order of things. Favorite food: Pot Stickers See below for your free gifts! |
