Purple Friendship Bug

Why hello there! It’s SO good to meet you! Isn’t friendship the best thing ever? But did you know it is contagious? To make friends, you and someone else just have to catch – me!

I float around smiling at everyone to show people not everything right now is scary. Even in difficult times, it is possible to find a momentary smile, even if it is just fleeting.

I mostly spend my time in Pets ‘n’ Friends, where my job is easy. People are so kind and helpful to one another there! Though I am a virtual pet, the friendships made by my owners are real! Talk about turning dreams into reality … the pet owners have this special ability to get out of the game and meet one another in real life, whatever that is …

Now I must go and look for my little green adversary. I so want to give him a hug, but he’s afraid I might catch him, and then he’d have caught me!

C’mon over! I don’t bite! Well sort of…..Technically I am a virus but you know what I mean PBBBPT!!!! Those of my kind truly are the friendly variety wanting to lend a heart wherever we can. We look forward to getting to know everyone in PnF and help keep the scary nasties away. Catch me and you catch contagious friendship! Rumour says I have been around in PnF for at least five years, but I’m not telling!

Open mouth, insert food please and thanks. I would much rather munch on all the yummies here in PnF than doing typical virus behaviour. So please feed me plenty! It is hard work being this cute and takes a lot of primping in front of the mirror daily. If you have any spare honey, I will not complain either.

I hope you will give me a run in Words with Pets – viruses are great at spelling things because all their friends and family have names at least ten letters long! 'Streptococcuspneumoniae' would score lots of points if it 'would just fit on the board!

Your pet becomes an expert at finding its own food!

Even with 18 sports already established in PnF, there were plenty of pets who just couldn’t hope to compete in any of them. Naturally that made them all feel very, VERY left out. So they held a meeting to work out what to do. Some said they wanted to compete with hula hoops, others wanted to fly kites, but no suggestion made had enough possible competitors to make it into a sport instead of a solo demonstration.

One of the pandas, who was really fed up, decided to vent her feelings. “This is unacceptable!” she said. “Incomprehensible! Insufferable!”

“Unsatisfactory!” rumbled a Yeti.

“Exceptionable!” scowled a starfish.

“Inconcssssssseivable!” added a garter snake.

Everyone looked at the snake.

“I heard it in a film,” he explained.

“With that many esses?” asked a hermit crab.

“Well that’s the way snakes spell it,” said the snake. “And it scores better with more esses in it.”

Then he had to explain about scoring in “Words with Pets”, and since everyone present seemed to be able to use long words to explain how bad it was that they had no sport to play, soon they were all playing “Words with Pets”.
