Moondust Squirrel

I think today is going to be a good day! I have a whole list of things I want to do today... First a stop by the neighbour's bird feeder, then the birdbath in the park. Then for lunch maybe eat half of half a dozen apples and dig up some flower bulbs. For laughs I'll sneak into my cousin's room and tangle up their ear bud wires... And after dinner maybe go torment the llamas the next town over.

Let me be upfront - don't believe anything those shooting stars tell you. They are out to make themselves look good and will slander me to do so!

What? Missing fruit? Spilled milk? Paint pawprints staining the ceiling? I had nothing to do with any of those. I am as innocent as can be - just look at my face! Do I look like a troublemaker to you?

What was that? There's a piece of pie missing from the center of the pie dish? I don't know who could have possibly done a thing like that! Me? I don't even like pecan pie! What kind of squirrel likes those types of nuts? There's a piece missing from the derby pie too? Nope, wasn't me! I'm not hiding anything, I swear!

Trees are the whole world for arboreal pets. Their homes. Their social venues. Their food stores. And their playgrounds. This also makes trees the logical venue for pet games and competitions!

Tree climbing is one of the oldest traditional pet games, because it is used by arboreal parents to teach their offspring basic survival and foraging skills. While most arboreal pets were happy just going about their business of homemaking, romancing, foraging and eating, the monkeys became bored, and decided to make a game out of the business of living, competing with one another and their arboreal friends to climb ever faster and higher!
