Blue-Green Sea Turtle

On the shores of the PnF Sea, as the hermit crabs scoot along their merry way, all seems quiet. But just below the surface of the sand, a tiny turtle is struggling to escape the leathery shell that's protected it for many months. The warm sun is calling, and the sound of the surf guides the hatchling as it makes its way upward, toward warmth, and light, and adventure! Other hatchlings on other shores must face deadly peril as they race to the safety of the water, but here on the PnF Sea, the tiny creature is greeted with delight. Making friends on its way, the blue - green babe heads for the sea, and home.

Dolphins have always been very playful, proudly showing off their abilities to leap high into the air and pirouette their way into the depths, reminiscent of a chorus line in a famous ballet! But dolphins are also very social, and soon realised that their friends the manatees, sea turtles and fish did not share their grace or dexterity.

So the dolphins conceived of an activity that all of their friends could join in with them and enjoy. Distance swimming races…which the stodgy older turtles secretly refer to as “organised drowning”…
