Squishy, The Baby Squirrel
Hello! My name is Squishy. I am a very shy baby squirrel. I have some memories of a big tree— a breaking branch—a loud storm that scared me silly. But, I also have memories of a warm bath—my tail being brushed, which by the way, I just love. I remember warm food and cuddling up in a cozy place filled with soft things. Now I am bigger, not as big as I will be, but big enough to adventure out around the garden. See that big tree, that is where I live now, and I would be so happy to sit with you, and maybe you can brush my tail and feed me some of those nuts.

Tree climbingTrees are the whole world for arboreal pets. Their homes. Their social venues. Their food stores. And their playgrounds. This also makes trees the logical venue for pet games and competitions!
Tree climbing is one of the oldest traditional pet games, because it is used by arboreal parents to teach their offspring basic survival and foraging skills. While most arboreal pets were happy just going about their business of homemaking, romancing, foraging and eating, the monkeys became bored, and decided to make a game out of the business of living, competing with one another and their arboreal friends to climb ever faster and higher!
