Blue alien frog

It came from outer space! Hold the phone, are we sure about that? Sure, it has three eyes and is a colour not seen before on a frog, but that is evolution for you, always tinkering away, making improvements. There are swamps which have not been discovered yet, never mind explored fully. Could this quite happy-looking frog have hopped out of some hidden swamp? No, you say, you are convinced this frog came here from outer space. Let us explore that then.

If this frog came from outer space, how did it travel? Have you talked to this frog yet; does it speak a language we can understand? You have. What did this frog tell you then? It is on vacation, taking a break from its job as a communication expert to the Council Of Frogs. Apparently, the frog population on its home planet has excellent skills in language and enjoys reaching out to other species on other planets. The Council helps meet other species and gives advice on handling any problems encountered. They are peace-loving frogs and really enjoy learning about the local food and pastimes. Oh! They arrived on a spaceship—they are quite adept at flying a craft even though they prefer to sit in a nice bit of water if they can find some. They told me there is a special bath on each ship so they can relax and moisturize their skin—the air on the spaceship is quite drying.

I see! You have really found out a lot about our visitors. I would love to meet them and learn more; all the other pets would be very excited to meet some new friends from so far away. Let us plan a party to welcome the frogs. Is there any chance that they would make a home here?

The Long Hop was invented by a very wise old rabbit, thinking to add variety to the daily lives of rabbits and hares across the land, whose whole lives seemed to revolve around eating and procreating, and not necessarily in that order!

To some extent, this was successful, as the Long Hop has been added to the bunnygarten curriculum for all young lagomorphs, many of whom also apply their long hopping skills to escape capture while raiding vegetable patches in PnF!
