Dashing Cat

Psst! I see you looking at my tall boots, dashing hat, flowing cape, and shiny sword. I know what you are thinking. I can only tell you that I am an orange striped cat—with a taste for adventure.

If you may see me on a rooftop late at night, pay me no mind. If you see me standing behind a tree, pay me no heed. If I seem to be distracted, well, that is natural for a cat. We can get focused on something quite easily, so walk on by.

Meet me in that little pub around the corner at midnight if you want to join me in my adventures. We can talk more then. I must dash.

Feint, parry, advance, thrust. Ah, you found me. Would you care to practice with me? I practice so I stay nimble on my feet. When you are out adventuring, you never know what trouble will come courting you and when you might need to make a quick dash to get away—plus there are rooftops, trees, runaway wagons, you know, the typical adventuring type stuff happening.

What do I do? Hmm! That is on a need-to-know basis, and you do not need to know. Unless. Are you thinking of joining me? Yes, you would first need to know what I do.

How shall I put this? I do nothing that would be frowned upon by anyone with a good heart.

We meet again, my friend. Did you see me just now? I was chasing that villain over the roofs, alas, he made a getaway, but I will catch up with him.

Have you given any more thought to joining me in my adventures? Yes, it can be strenuous at times, the leaping, the dashing, the running off of high places and hoping you land on your feet. Then there is the swimming—not my favourite part. At the end of the day, when I am successful, it is all worth it.

Parkour is a fairly new sport, derived by an overly alert kitteh one afternoon after watching the newest litter of kittens trying out their leaping and scratching around in the cattery. Designed to showcase the superb feline agility, the course is constantly being redesigned to challenge even the more elite kitteh to come up with new techniques and balances.
