Hippity Hoppity Happy Frog

Hop Hop, Hop Hop.
Hello, a hoppity good day to you. Let me introduce myself to you. I am a green frog with dark green spots that help camouflage me in case there are any pesky enemies about.

I have been living my froggy life in this garden, and a lovely garden it is too, with a pond and many shady spots filled with fragrant flowers.

I like to sit on a lily pad and see how many flies I can catch. I don’t need to drink water; I absorb water through my skin, so a dip in the pond now and then is most refreshing.

I feel a froggy song coming on; would you join me in singing?

Oh, what is that over there? I see something tasty, let me hop on over there and snap, got it. I am always on the lookout for anything nice to eat. Oh, you brought me a treat. How kind of you. I like a bit of fish now and then.

When you are walking in the wild places, if you notice many of my brothers and sisters, it means the area has good soil, water and air. If I were to get a job, I think I would become a gardener.

Croak! What am I doing? I am doing the happy frog dance. I love to dance around with joyful abandon. Do you know the saying, dance as if no one is watching? Usually, there is no one watching, and there is nothing more fun for me—at least—than finding the tune in nature and dancing on my lily pad.

Have you ever noticed the music in the world around you? The soft sighing of the wind, the tinkle of water, or the drumming of a woodpecker. Listen carefully, and you will find the tune. Dance, dance, dance, come join me in a happy frog dance.

The Long Hop was invented by a very wise old rabbit, thinking to add variety to the daily lives of rabbits and hares across the land, whose whole lives seemed to revolve around eating and procreating, and not necessarily in that order!

To some extent, this was successful, as the Long Hop has been added to the bunnygarten curriculum for all young lagomorphs, many of whom also apply their long hopping skills to escape capture while raiding vegetable patches in PnF!
