Dear Diary,
My name is Scaredy Cat. At school today, my teacher showed us a film about a group of students who were each given a notebook, and their teacher encouraged them to use that notebook as a journal or diary. They were told that they could write anything they wanted in it and whatever they wrote inside would be kept secret unless they wanted to share it with someone. Anyhow, our teacher gave our class a notebook and an assignment to write something in it. I don't know where to start. Do I write about myself? Do I share what I'm thinking about or what I did today? I don't know how to do something like that. On the other paw, my best friend Bob is excited because he's already filled several pages in his and he can't wait to share with the class the things he wrote about (probably about the fact that Ice Cream Cone Day is coming up on September 22nd). I wish I knew what to write about. This isn't going to be easy. Maybe a few laps of my warm milk and a few nibbles from my mouse cookies will help.

Dear Diary....This week we're going to share what we might put into a diary (or journal) if you or your pet had one. Are you one that has been writing in a diary since you were were just a kid? Do you purchase a diary and write in it a few times, but never really got into it? If you had a diary, what would you write about? Broken hearts? Unacceptable parenting? The many failed diets you've attempted? Maybe you'd write about future hopes without argument or advice. You might write about what you did today because it was so amazing and you wanted to be able to look back on every last detail you recorded. You can write anything in it and it won't spill those secrets to anyone or anypet.

* The entry with the most votes will be declared the winner.
