Bob and JJ (Scaredy Cat's Support Dog) were excited to take Scaredy Cat to the local animal shelter to meet the cats and kittens that were currently residing there. Bob is busy having fun playing with Patches the kitten and really wants to bring him home. Scaredy Cat is very unsure about sharing his space with another cat. He's only ever had to share it with his little sister Truffle. He can't help but wonder how this would work if they did bring home a new kitten. What would happen if the kitten was afraid of JJ? To play it safe, JJ waited patiently outside, peering into the window, thinking about how much fun she would have with a new kitten prancing about. In the meantime, Bob is working hard to convince his BFF that he would take real good care of the little kitty. Scaredy Cat does think about all the fun adventures he could have with a new furry friend, but also thinks about the responsibility involved with a pet. Will Bob be successful at convincing Scaredy Cat to give Patches a fur-ever home? He sure hopes so!

June is National Adopt a Cat Month and was formed by American Humane 45 years ago in order to stop buying cats, and instead, adopt them from shelters and rescue agencies. June was selected since a lot of cats tend to reproduce in June and, since a can give birth up to seven kittens, it's not a surprise that most end up in shelters. How can you and your pet show others your support for National Adopt a Cat Month? Would you open your home by adopting a cat? Head to your local shelter and see which kitty is ready to make you their hooman. Why not donate to the local shelter? You don't have to give money - you can donate blankets, cat toys, and even food and kitty litter! Talk about adopting a shelter cat on your social media! Provide some interesting facts about raising cats to show that it's actually not that hard! What kind of cat would you want to bring home?
