The weather is beginning to get a bit warm and Scaredy Cat, Bob and JJ decide to spend the day at the beach. Bob has his snorkeling gear ready so that he can check out sea creatures that might be in shallow waters. Scaredy Cat, who loves to read, has a pile of beach-worthy books, with the difficulty being which one to pick. JJ – well – she is completely aware of the variety of critters doing things you might see while at the beach – water surfing, windsurfing (sailing with a parachute), along with a flock of seagulls flying overhead. She’s so mesmerized that she completely ignores the beach ball she has brought with her. While sipping on cool, refreshing tropical drinks, Scaredy Cat and Bob talk about a new art challenge and after much discussion, they agree that having a beach theme would be just the thing.

Going to the beach is a treat. Whether you live on the coast, or if all your memories of the beach have happened on vacations, there’s something about it that’s a bit magical. The sights, sounds, and smells of such a vast and powerful expression of nature are something to behold. The feeling of warm sand between your toes, and the way your hair feels after a day on the beach is like no other. The beach Is naturally fun and relaxing.

Bring out the best beach activities in your art this week. Activities like beach volleyball, frisbee, soccer, or paddleball. Try surfing, paddleboarding, kayaking, jet skiing, or windsurfing. Explore underwater life in coral reefs or marine parks. Bring a picnic basket and enjoy a meal with a view. Walking or Jogging: Strolling along the shoreline or running on the sand. Collecting Shells: Search for interesting shells or beach stones. Surfing or Boogie Boarding: Ride the waves if conditions permit. Fishing: Cast a line from the shore or a pier. Reading: Bringing a book or magazine to enjoy by the water.
