Scaredy Cat and Bob are outside enjoying a warm summer day (where the temperature is actually quite tolerable) and are chatting about the fun they had yesterday at the library. The librarian shared with the attendees about all the neat things that that take place in the month of July. There are lots of holiday and observances one could take part in. Some of them involve celebrating holidays such as Independence Day (in the USA) and others involving celebrations of things like "World Emoji Day" (REALLY??). Bob loves that there are plenty of days throughout July (and the rest of the summer) that involve food - hey - there's a day to celebrate eating junk food!! As a lover of books, Scaredy Cat is definitely into that "Paperback Book Day". Out of nowhere, Bob yells "Let's get this July party started!" as he grabs a box of chocolates to scoff down.

July is all about celebrating the summer holidays, Independence Day & National Ice Cream month. July is the warmest summer month (at least it is in the Northern Hemisphere) where you can take a holiday at the beach, get the grill going to have a cookout in the back yard, and (if you're into it) soak up the sun. What do you think you would want to do during the month of July? Will you read up on man first landing on the moon (July 20th), or the coldest temperature EVER recorded (-89.2C on July 21, 1983 in Antarctica)? With there being many holidays and celebrations during July, you're bound to have fun just about every day!
