Sabre Toothed Penguin----- tiger? No, you must have heard wrong. I got eaten by a tiger and my teeth stuck in his throat. Then we both became extinct and people thought they were HIS teeth!
Why would a tiger need teeth like these, anyway? Have you any idea how many fish I can stack on these teeth before I waddle the miles back to my mate who is watching our egg?
What's 'halitosis'?

Painted Horse RearingMy colorful spots make each of my herd unique, but we all have beautiful manes and tails! We are so proud of our looks that we became the very first painters. All through the Stone Age we painted images of ourselves on the walls of caves, where the pictures would be safe from the weather. You thought that the trolls did it? They aren't smart enough!
Today you will find my great great great grand-foals among the Appaloosa horses. Like me, they are full of love and are extremely loyal. Those who know us, love us too. My herd and I enjoy helping you drag logs to make your homes, or great stones to build your stone circles - what were they for, again? - but we are just as happy to run around kicking up dirt!
Whether for fun or work, I'm the horse for you! And I promise to love you as long as you love me!

StonehengeWhat do these stones mean? People have been asking that for millennia as the creators of this mystical place left no written records. There is much speculation and debate about how these stones came to be, and why they are placed in alignment to the sunset of the winter solstice and sunrise of the summer solstice. Archaeologists believe it is an ancient burial ground dating back to around 3000 BC. Who was buried there and under what circumstances? We will most likely never know, but we will continue to explore the area for any clues that can help to tell the story of one of the most famous ancient sites in the world. One thing is for sure when you see them, you are likely to feel a sense of awe at how these massive stones were erected, and make you wish you could travel back in time and see history unfold for yourself, and help to solve a mystery of the ages.

Stone WheelAt first glance, I may look like a humble wheel, but few engineering tools or inventions have stood the test of time the way that I have! Although I was initially created to help shape pottery, I’ve barely had a day’s rest since, as my creators soon began employing me to mill cereal and to move the platforms on which they carried slabs of rock and other heavy materials! Throughout history, my form has changed, but my basic shape remains the same, enabling the motion required to drive vehicles, engines, cogs, gears and all manner of moving parts!

Nigel the Neolithic AxeNigel the Neolithic Axe is a magic artefact, whose special powers will likely rub off on whoever wields him. Carved from Jadeite, and polished to the highest sheen, Nigel is a status symbol worthy of the power and prestige of his wielder. Despite his finely honed edge, Nigel has never done an honest day’s work in his life, so his value is ceremonial rather than practical, for which he may be adorned with bones or feathers.

Stone Age SpearA very long stick with a pokey doodad on the end…I’m sure you’ve seen the likes of me before. I’m not an arrow, though I may slightly resemble one… I’m more like a javelin. I’ve been around for a very long time, and I may have had a violent past, but I’m retired now. I came to the land of PnF to get away from all that...Nowadays in PnF, most pets use me to work in their yards. I’m a wonderful gardener, I love to dig and I’m perfect for picking up trash. Let’s clean up the neighborhood together!

Day’s End – Cave OpeningThe evening sky is clear over the Savannah and all is quiet. Cozy inside their cave dwelling, early PnF ancestors would gather around the fire pit and dine on the day’s catch, as well as some tasty scavenged roots and leaves for a salad of sorts. Many a story was told in gestures and in the paintings on the wall, left for millennia, to be found by those of us who came after.

Grassy Plain Of OldLong long ago, before minerals were mined and before vast tracks of natural bushland were clear felled to provide farmland for domesticated livestock, the only scars upon the land were those fashioned by Mother Nature herself. Rather than building upon the land, the Troglodytes of Old dwelt within the myriad natural caves that pocked the limestone ridges, gazing out upon the desolate grassy plains from the relative safety of their cave mouths.

Cave Wall Of Paws (2)The wall of paws reflects, perhaps, man’s first attempt at graffiti tagging. Paw prints were left as a “Hello” to all those who came after. Much like modern man, our PnF ancestors had a yearning to leave a mark, a lasting “I, too, was here.”
