I live in one of the most amazing places, Alaska. There are plenty of fish, which I love, especially salmon, and there is no shortage of places to make my den for the winter. I am king of the jungle and proud to say so! Lions are quite social compared to other big cats, and we lions live in prides. Did I say 'pride'? I am vain and I will flaunt my bountiful mane around other males, so that they know I am the one who is King.

I will admit though, I am quite lazy, and while I spend almost 20 hours of the day sleeping, I make sure the females are out hunting for the rest of us! But hey, I’m allowed to be whatever I want, right? I am King, after all!

The final sweet and fruity flavor is cherry. It's my favorite! I wonder if you are like me and eat your fruity flavored candy in order, starting with your least favorite and saving the best for last. This white lovely kitty is puuuurfectly precious. She spends much of her day washing and cleaning herself so that she is ready for anyone who may come and visit. When she is not grooming, she is sleeping, as beauty rest is quite important for a cat of her importance. But she cannot sleep unless she is on the fluffiest of pillows with the softest of blankets. She refuses to be far from a mirror to ensure she is always presentable for guests. Toys are beneath her. She must not play for fear of ruining her fur she worked so hard to make pretty and perfect. Playing would also show lack of control and this cat works very hard to be in control at all times. She dreams of batting a mouse, but she dares not because she has a reputation to uphold. Due to her actions and desires, many refer to her as “prissy” but she is easily forgiven because of her cuteness!

You turn a corner and run straight into some pet. “Oof, sorry, I was going too fast and did not see you.”
You look up; it is none other than the mysterious black cat.
You jump back as she raises her sabre. She makes toward you. “There he is, quick, follow me. I see you found a sword.”

It is a myth that carrots are good for bunnies. Carrots actually contain too much sugar. You are better off feeding your bunny unlimited high quality hay supplemented by greens such as romaine lettuce with the occasional sugary treat like fruit. Pellets should only be given in moderation not left out at all times and be dosed by your bunny’s weight. Mind you, you should be aware there is a strong chance your bunny will turn their nose up at this all. Their preferred food of choice? PHONE CHARGERS!

Cherry Chocolate Turtle Ever since she was a hatchling, the cherry chocolate turtle aspired to make her world a more beautiful place. The pond she grew up in was fringed with green sedges and towering brown cattails, framed with birch and aspen trees. The verdant landscape was sketched again in the pond’s clear crystal waters, so the little turtle didn’t know how she could improve a world that was already so beautiful.

Inspiration came one day when a radiant rainbow arched over the pond. The young turtle realized that, although her pond was beautiful, it lacked the splendid colours she saw in the sky. Armed with a new sense of purpose, she crawled across the landscape in search of ways to bring colour to the pond. After many long, arduous treks, she returned with seeds and bulbs for pink and yellow water lilies, blue flag irises, and orange wood lilies, which she planted and tended with care. In time, the pond exploded with a panoply of colour that rivaled even the rainbow, and the cherry chocolate turtle was filled with joy as she gazed upon a world that she had made more beautiful.

Mama says I am full of energy, and I spend much of my time burning off my energy by sunbathing and sliding on the ice. Sometimes all my energy annoys Mama, and she’s constantly telling me that “I am lucky I am cute!” whatever that means. But today I am excited because it’s almost CHRISTMAS! Mama says I can pick my very own block of ice to decorate! I’ve been carefully inspecting them all, looking for the perfect one to hang these colorful lights! They are just so pretty and I can’t help but play around in them, even if I do end up a tiny bit tangled. It’s okay, I’m a master at untangling myself! Ooh! Look at that one over there! Dutch breed rabbits are surprisingly originally from England. They are a dwarf breed easily identified by their characteristic markings that come in a variety of colours. They have great calm and loving personalities and can make great companions.

I am a Canadian wolf pup but in some places I am also called a grey wolf or timber wolf. No matter which name you prefer, I would love to tell you all about my family. The wolf pack I belong to consists of my mom and dad, four adult brothers and sisters and five littermates. Wolves are very social animals and the bonds of family are very strong within our pack. We live in remote areas of the wilderness throughout the continent of North America and try to avoid the neighboring packs as they are not very friendly and do not like visitors. I think they are relatives of The Big Bad Wolf of storybook lore. We love visitors though and you are welcome to stop by any time. We will make you an honorary pack member and my mom and dad can even teach you how to howl. Howling has many uses and it's a really important skill. We use it to gather the pack before a hunt, to warn or locate one another, and to communicate long distances throughout our vast territory. I am still learning; the only sounds I am able to make are little dog-like yelps and it makes me giggle every time those funny noises come out. I know I will be able to howl someday, but until then I will just keep practicing. Arrrooooooo!
