Brrr! When your paws are cold, finding a shelter might make you think that this is exactly where you want to warm up. Honestly, if I were you, after opening that door and catching a whiff, you might want to stomp your paws and keep moving.

The pets are collected after breakfast by a friendly array of sled dogs eager to be off! They will have to hang on tight for a speedy journey through a wintry vista before arriving at the aerodrome, where the pets will board a light aircraft for the day's trip. There will be superb aerial views of snowy mountains far below, with Alpine villages and public gardens becoming clearer in detail as the plane descends on its flight path for landing. As sunset falls the plane will land within easy walking distance of the night's accommodation. Here the pets can gather on large, comfy sofas to swap stories of the day's experiences, recharge their energy with cups of cappuccino, then enjoy hot bowls of soup and bread, and perhaps relax with a book before bedtime.

Got your camera? Frantically looking under those sweaters in the back of the car, or under the passenger seat where you think it dropped? Got the wrong settings? Left the batteries at home? Just got ready in time for me to disappear? Then you'd better buy the official portrait and save yourself all the frustration!

Ribbons of rainbow colours streak across an azure sky. The sea playfully splashes upon the shore. Hills of velvet green with just a dusting of snow in the foreground. How can there be such an idyllic landscape? Perhaps I am dreaming. I do not wish to awake if this is a dream. I want to scamper across the hills with my pets and play in the foam on the beach and picnic under that rainbow in the sky.

There is something about a perfect summer’s night that makes even the widest open spaces feel embracing. The quiet, the stars, the gentle stir of wind all lending to that magical feel in the air. What will you do with your own endless summer nights?

Could there be a sight more beautiful or a night more serene? The gentle winds lift and swirl the crystalline snowflakes through the air, twinkling in the light of the midnight aurora, poetry in motion. Speak no louder than a whisper, so your tangled breaths tumble like misty dancers into the quiet, or sit quietly contemplative at the unspeakable generosity of the universe.

Autumn has well been described by Keats as the "Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness" and pets will here enjoy a ramble through woods with tumbling golden and orange leaves. They can gather hazelnuts, horse chestnuts and fruits, and perhaps forage for mushrooms and dill. Then there are vast fields of wild flowers to explore, and an opportunity to admire the sunset while resting by a rustic barn. Watch your paws or claws crossing the river on the stepping stones—but perhaps splashing in the swirling water is part of the fun!

Harvest-time in the countryside—what better time can there be? On this part of the tour, pets will start in a shady wood and have a picnic by an old country barn before continuing. They will discover an open air market of farmers' produce and be able to choose from the displayed apples, grapes, coffee beans, strawberries and chillies before viewing the coffee berries still growing. There are views of cornfields and flowers before finishing with a stroll along the river to admire the autumnal foliage.

A country ramble awaits the pets and after exploring woodland paths, a small settlement will be found. At the spice store they will find cinnamon, chillies, star anise and chestnuts, plus purple flowers for perfumery. They will skirt a small lake before seeing a host of pink and purple-hued flowers and plants. Don't forget to grab an apple or two to munch as you head out onto the next stage of our tour!

Fall foliage in striking hues of red and orange will be seen all around on this tour along the riverbank. Your pet can collect pine cones, sample wild berries and currants, view beautiful plants in purple and red, and perhaps spot some exotic birdlife! Everypet will enjoy lingering on the bridge to view the peaceful scene as the sun goes down turning the river pink as it does so ...

If your pet can't seem to grow anything, this garden scene will show that you CAN have a green thumb. Yes, you can have a beautiful garden! English Ivy is very easy to grow. In fact, it grows so well that you have to be careful that it doesn't take over where it is planted!

During his rare times of rest, Achiever Beaver munches on tree bark and admires his handiwork. The graceful arc of a completed dam is truly a thing of beauty, and chewed logs come in so many amazing sizes and shapes. The expansion to his lodge has a distinctly postmodernist style. Achiever Beaver sometimes wishes he had the ability to wax poetic because surely such works of art are worthy of panegyrics. Really! Who has time for musing when his dam spillway has come loose and is draining too much water? Achiever Beaver grabs his toolbox and rushes back to work.

Achiever Beaver surveys a clear stream cascading through the mountains and makes plans to build a new dam. A stream this large will require a curvilinear superstructure on a strong foundation of deciduous logs. The spillways will require some calculation, and the top of the dam will be a boardwalk of planed spruce. Fortunately, all the building materials Achiever Beaver needs for the new dam were growing along the banks of the stream.

For this leg of the travel game, the pets embark on a river trip past many beautiful buildings. They will need to wrap up warmly before arriving at the cold, snowy region before the boat continues over open water and past a sturdy old lighthouse before reaching the next landing stage, where the climate is much warmer! They will stretch their legs or wings by crossing the bridge back to their starting point.

Grab your spelunking gear and come on down to explore the wonders under your feet. There are many types of caves, all over the world to enjoy. When down there, you may find stalactites (which “grow” from the ceiling of the cave) or stalagmites (which “grow” from the ground). Diamonds, a PnFer’s best friend, are mined on every continent. Gems and Gold are also found in caves, along with coal, which you’ll find in your stocking if you’re naughty. Caverns are also home to a variety of animals you won’t find in any other habitat. And, if you don’t have the needed gear, you might be able to get Merry Mole to loan you some of his!

Blue fruitfulness, what fruits shall this orchard bear?

The blueness of the winter sky creates a soft blue glow on the snow covered ground.

On the only island part of the tour, the pets are picked up at the landing stage by a horse-drawn sleigh and are driven through snowy pines to board their awaiting boat which will take them on the main part of the day's adventure. They will see mountains, icebergs, fun little sandy or rocky coves, swathes of trees lining the coast, snowy island villages and will be enthralled towards the end by the tale of the spooky Troll Lake ... those of a nervous disposition will find exploring the night's accommodation will lift their spirits however! It is a beautiful house with a log fire to warm their paws by while they wind down for the night with mugs of hot chocolate.

In this part of the travel game, the pets delve into Bohemian culture in the area of the city that attracts painters, writers, musicians, sculptors and others who express themselves through art. Whether the pets spend time discussing philosophy in one of the many quaint bars or observing the creation of a masterpiece in a tiny, paint splattered studio apartment, or viewing huge graffiti pictures, they will wind up their visit with a trip to some underground cellars before ending the day with the opportunity to purchase some flowers or an elaborately decorated ridotto mask!

This beautiful moonlit scene may either depict the view from a castle, or provide the perfect site on which to locate a new castle! The vibrant red pastures contrast sharply with the hazy teal coloured hills in the background, suggestive of energy and power throughout the land.

At the front of the house, where the light is brightest, nestles Busy Bee’s Sewing Room, resplendent with the smell of freshly laundered fabric and sunshine! The gentle purr of a sewing machine quietly competes with the sound of piped music and the room’s occupant, who softly sings along, slightly off key and completely out of time with the other sounds in the room...
While the sewing desk is a picture of organisation, all of the other surfaces in the room are littered with brightly coloured quilting squares, in various stages of assembly, and their creator smiles proudly to herself, visualising how wonderful her completed quilt is going to look!

Most beaches you look out to sea hoping to see ships. Here you look for icebergs, and you hope the ships see them too!

The hat shop is just about ready to open for business. The finishing touch will be for the owner to decide which three hats will grace the display window. The suspense is so exciting! In the autumn, the leaves of some trees change colour much earlier than others do.

On this part of the quest, your pet will take a boat trip along a rambling river, each twist and turn revealing a variety of wildlife on the banks either side, or on the river itself.
