A closer look at a narrow street in Cumalikizik. The sides of the cobblestone street are slightly sloped toward the center to allow rainwater and wastewater to run down the middle. Notice the solid walls of the houses—built using rough-cut stone in irregular shapes. These beautiful buildings were built around 1300, at the formation of the Ottoman Empire. At the centre of the Hanukkah festival is the nightly lighting of the Menorah. The menorah holds nine flames, one of which is the shamash, or “attendant”, which is used to kindle the other eight lights. On the first night, just one flame is lit. These cobblestones are a type to be found in Rome. A road paved with cobblestones can be heavily used all year round. Mapledurham Watermill, near Reading, straddles the Thames, set in the grounds of Mapledurham House and its country park. Sometimes, you'll find a bench in the woods at spots after the trail had just been a challenge. Maybe some critters will cross your path or sing from the branches above. God was with him though and after decades he became second in power over all of Egypt. He eventually brought his father, Jacob, and all of his brothers and their families to live in Egypt. Hundreds of years later his people were slaves to a new Pharoah, and that's when Moses came on the scene.

After hundreds of years, God's plan for His people began to take place after long and hard years of suffering as slaves in Egypt. He raises up a leader named Moses, who was adopted by Pharoah and lived as an Egyptian for 40 years, but gave it all up to suffer with, and eventually lead, his people out of slavery. After spending 40 years in the wilderness as a shepherd, Moses returned to Egypt at the age of 80 with God's command to the most powerful ruler in the world, "Let my people go!"

The New Testament accounts of Jesus' death aren't pleasant. After having suffered cruelly at the hands of soldiers and from the hearts of His own people, the eyewitness accounts say that the land became dark during His last three hours on the cross. When He breathed His last, under that foreboding sky, the earth quaked and rocks split. Being late in the day, His followers buried Him in a nearby, borrowed tomb. While tragic, something triumphant was about to happen in just a few days!

Today's trip starts with the pets being picked up by motor vehicles. They try to catch sight of signposts to give a clue to their destination! Arriving at the train station, they climb aboard the Winter Express steam engine for a tour through a winter wonderland! The train stops for them to stretch paws, flippers and wings exploring a path through a snowy forest and on the way back they encounter a little creature clad in red and white trying out his skis! Back on board the journey through winter vistas continues until sunset. The train puffs its way across a stunning viaduct and on into the mist, before pulling up at the station where it is just a short distance to that night's house. Here the pets can explore the spacious interior including the library and wind down from their enjoyable trip out with hot chocolate topped with whipped cream and cinnamon.

Be careful as you travel your way across the expansive desert. The dunes seem to change their positions at will, making it easy to become lost.
