I know that I shouldn't be scampering up to the old farm house, but can you smell that? Smells like a song on a warm summer breeze! I bet if I wait until that old cat naps, I can steal some!

I know I stashed those seeds somewhere here! Where is that? I worked so hard collecting and gathering up tasty treats all summer to see me through the blustery cold. Ah! There's one! Ooh, look, cookie tidbits from the farmer's table are in this little cubby! The kids are going to love dessert!

Oh, oh, excuse me! Tee hee, after the sumptuous helping of grasses and seeds, my burp is an affirmation of a good meal. A full belly always makes me sleepy, you too? Come on then, we'll find some downy bedding and make a nest and snooze!

Meow! Are you awake? I tried batting your nose and purring in your ear. I tried swishing my tail on your cheek. You sure sleep soundly, but you are awake now. Gaze into my green eyes and give me all the attention I deserve. I have planned a day of eating, grooming, chasing shadows, watching birds, and playing with you; we must start now. I have an idea; while you make my food, look for my toys under the couch, program the TV to play the aquarium that I love to watch—where do those fish go—and find my brush, don’t forget my favourite treats, I am just going to curl up on your pillow and have a nap.

These feet are made for walking, and that's just what they'll do. One of these days these feet are gonna walk right up to you! And when they do I hope you will join me. Every puffin knows that walking is much more fun when you do it together, so let's set out and see where our feet will take us!

I am so excited today is visiting day. Do you have a visiting day too? I have made some muffins. Everyone loves muffins…I think. Maybe I should make some cookies too. Oh, dear! L-look at the time. I have to hurry.

Who should I visit first? There is my bear friend, but if I visit him first, I won’t have any muffins left to take to my other friends. Maybe the old owl, but he may be out, and it is a long walk to his tree. The deer in the meadow loves to chat while her children are playing. Then there is the rabbit who loves to tell very long stories. If I sit quietly, maybe I can make a decision.

Oh! T-that started me. Someone is knocking on my door.
All my friends have come to visit me. When the sun woke me up this morning, I knew this would be a special day, but I did not think it would be my friends visiting me special type of day.
