@ Tunnel of Maple Trees
Minnie and Wilford are excited to find out what is in store for them in the Autumn Experience! As they enter, they each receive a free map! It reads:
Autumn in Amber
Autumn has well been described by Keats as the "Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness" and pets will here enjoy a ramble through woods with tumbling golden and orange leaves. They can gather hazelnuts, horse chestnuts and fruits, and perhaps forage for mushrooms and dill. Then there are vast fields of wild flowers to explore, and an opportunity to admire the sunset while resting by a rustic barn. Watch your paws or claws crossing the river on the stepping stones—but perhaps splashing in the swirling water is part of the fun!

As you near this autumn realm and hear the thunder of the falls close by, you get to walk through a vividly colorful tunnel of maple leaves with the light of the evening sun at the tunnel's end to attract you further.

While Minnie stood drinking in the amazing view, Noodles searched in its backpack for its camera, eager to capture the scene!

As you step out of the tunnel of fall-colored leaves, you are greeted with even more beauty to behold as you see flowers silhouetted by the setting sun. Now you know that the day's journey is almost done!

“I could stay here forever, Minnie,” said 樱桃. “This is an amazing place!”
“Well, you never know what lies ahead, 樱桃. I wouldn't be surprised if the next stop is even better!” said Minnie.

As you look further past where you are now standing, you see a vast farm field to cross with welcoming trees and hillsides awaiting.

Minnie and NUTTER were entranced at reaching this stopping place and eagerly posed for a picture!

You pause for a moment to make sure that the pictures you've been taking of your breath-taking journey today have been capturing what your eyes have been seeing. Even though there is so much beauty for just two eyes to take in, you are pleased with your photos thus far, especially of the light at the end of the tunnel of maple trees!

@ Handful of Horse Chestnuts
tigg and Minnie, after shaking paws, admired the crop of harvest produce in front of them. “I didn’t know it looked like that just after harvest,” said Minnie. “I’ve only seen it in the shops!”

Not only were you enveloped with maple trees, but you also saw some chestnut trees mixed within, and so you grabbed a handful of chestnuts as a souvenir!

@ Bouquet of Fall Flowers
“Isn’t this amazing, Choose a name?” declared Minnie. “I’m seeing so many flowers and shrubs that I’ve never seen before!”

As you left the woods, with another tree line to your left, you noticed some large blooms of wildflowers along the edge of the trees, and so you picked a few to spruce up your room when you settle in later in the evening.

As you continue through the field, you choose to leave the daintier purple flowers alone, simply enjoying their fragrance and their beauty in the evening sun.

“I’m going to have to spend a lot of time when we get back looking up what all these flowers are!” said Minnie to xiaolu.

With all of the flowers you are admiring, you almost forgot the ones you picked up in the autumn realm of green that morning. You check to be sure they are still fresh - and they are! - and remember that you have a note to fill out for tonight's host.

@ Wild White Mushrooms
Finley and Minnie shook paws with each other and compared notes as to how their respective trips had gone so far, and which was the most delicious harvest item they had each come across.

Continuing on the path, you notice along the tree line something white. Not sure if you were seeing flowers, you approach and find that they are wild mushrooms, the edible kind, and so you grab a few to add to a possible stew later in the evening!

@ Path Covered by Fallen leaves
Minnie opened her rucksack to change her hat. Dai could see Minnie had a baseball cap, a sombrero, a beret, a straw boater, a cricket cap, a sou'wester, a large, floppy sunhat and a pith helmet!
“Did you bring a mortarboard too?” Dai asked Minnie.

It is so enjoyable to not only see the variety of fall colors beside you, over you and underneath you - but to also hear the sound of the leaves as they crackle under your paws!

“What’s this flower called?” Minnie said to blue sunshine. “Er—I only know the Latin name for it,” said blue sunshine and hastily changed the subject.

@ Running River After the Waterfall
Splash was hailed by Minnie, who had also just arrived on the scene. “What a great view, Splash!” said Minnie. “I could stay here for hours!”

As you look to your left, with the waterfall thundering to your right, you see how swiftly the river runs past you as you ensure you have enough stepping stones to get across. One wrong step and you may be staying somewhere further south than you planned!

Morenth and Minnie counted out their silver moles and bought some of the harvest food. “That one wins first prize for me!” declared Morenth.

As you settle in on your second rock in your river crossing, you remember that your host from last night in the autumn realm of green gave you fresh oranges plucked right off of a tree in their own backyard! Time to get refreshed!

“Oh hello, Minnie!” cried Noodles. “Didn’t we bump into each other at Crocodile Creek a while ago?”

As you make your way to the next rock, you noticed flower blooms and leaves floating by. The leaves may have fallen from trees and were blown into the water, perhaps before the waterfall. You stretch out your paw and snag a twig of orange-colored leaves to stick out of your backpack!

@ Plucked Flowers Floating By Too!
Sweetie and Minnie shook paws and then they both admired the magnificent floral display beside them.

After you cross to your next rock, with the shore almost within reach, you decide to add to your collection of souvenirs by grabbing some of the plucked blooms floating by and wrapping them in paper for safe keeping. These were put in the water by young pets in the autumn realm of green, hoping they would float and float for a long distance.

@ Plenty of Nuts
“I hope we can buy more of this at our local farmer's market,” observed Minnie, as she and Pyron Toothless tucked into a delicious food sample!

As you jump and thump from rock to rock, you check your supply of hazelnuts after noticing you hadn't closed your container as well as you thought! Whew! Most are still there!

@ Red and Yellow Flower
Snowball bent down to sniff the flower in front of him but recoiled hastily. “What’s up, Snowball?” asked Minnie.
“There’s a huge bumblebee on it!” said Snowball.

As you land on the last rock, you notice a huge bloom coming your way on the water. It bumps into the rock, making it an easy grab with your paw!

@ Almost there!
Minnie gazed at the scene around her in awe, while Midnight grumbled a little about Minnie's so-called shortcut, if her blisters were anything to go by!

As you step onto the shore, you continue to enjoy the sunset and notice the host home close by! What a welcome sight after a long, but joyful day of hiking into a new realm!

@ Meadow of Yellow Flowers
Delilah shook paws with Minnie and was just enjoying the view when she was distracted by loud rustling as Minnie unfolded a very lengthy Autumn Experience itinerary, in the course of which she succeeded in knocking Delilah’s hat off. “Put that away, do!” snapped Delilah. “I’m about to take a photo of this amazing scene—the picture will be of your map if you don’t fold it up pronto!”

With the waterfall and river now roaring on your right, the gentleness of the sunset upon a meadow of yellow flowers, which appear to be even more yellow from the sun's rays, calm your soul as you near your goal!

“Oh hello, Minnie!” cried VV. “Didn’t we bump into each other at Crocodile Creek a while ago?”

On your left is another tree line through which you see some of the last rays of the sun poking through the fall leaves. This makes you feel even more relaxed!

"I think I'll take a cutting of the plant in that tub over there," said Minnie. The label says it's 'vigorous' and 'fearless'."
Hero sniffed. "That's gardeners' talk for 'an invasive species that will take over your entire garden if permitted'!"

As you pass this patch of growth, you pluck a few sprigs in hopes of decorating up the doorway or the table of the home where you'll lay your head down soon.

Minnie is enjoying the Autumn Experience when Abel comes along. "Look! A special prize!" says Abel. Minnie looks down and sees something valuable. Abel generously lets Minnie keep it!
