Episode 1/29: Summer is the best time for sports festivals. There was a rumour that Sam was going to create one, but since Sam is a turtle, it wasn’t that hard to beat him to it. The Mouse in Trousers got there first! He announced the most auspicious event of the year, thus:

"There shall be a magnificent festival of sport, in which the Fast and the Furriest shall compete to win one of a magnificent set of racing cars!"

Episode 2/29: Sam wasn’t pleased. As Captain of the Power Pets Sports Club, he sees himself as the authority on sport. So he climbed onto the stage and said he should have been in charge. The Mouse replied, off mike:

"If I left it to you, the entire competition would have been fixed from the beginning. Your Champions would have won everything. I hate cheating! My sports festival will be FAIR!"

Flounder, who likes to have his nose in everything, had followed Sam to see what he was up to. He hid from the Mouse, and heard everything, but was not sure whether Sam had seen him or not.

Episode 3/29: Next day, Pish Posh was wandering through Weston Plaza when he saw a sign: "Snoopers wanted! Meet at the Drunken Dolphin!"

Thinking he would like to snoop on the snoopers, Pish Posh went along and found Flounder with some strange pets he had never seen before.

Episode 4/29: “Oh, have you come about the job?” asked Flounder, finally noticing Pish Posh. “We could do with a Posh Peacock in the team. We shall be trying to catch Sam’s Champions cheating in the games. Meet Waylon, Pouchahontas and Juniper. They are all experts in their sports, but they haven’t been around here long. I want someone who knows Pets ‘n’ Friends inside out to take charge of them. You’ll do! Just take notes on what they discover and then report back to me. If those Champions cheat, I’m going to make sure they pay for it!”

Pish Posh said he didn’t like cheating either, so he gladly agreed.

Episode 5/29: Flounder took the team outside. “It’s going to be hard work keeping up with the flow of events,” he said, “so I have provided the team with a horse.”

“But we can’t cover all 15 events, even with a horse!” said Pish Posh.

“Right, this team will be investigating Distance Swimming, Diving and the Long Hop,” said Flounder. “There are bound to be expenses and you deserve a reward, so I shall be paying you in gems.

Episode 6/29: At the inaugural ceremony, all the competitors were gathered before the Mouse in Trousers, who had dressed in a wig to show the competitor’s oath would be legally binding. “As sole author of rules and regulations, I require you to repeat after me: I shall not cheat or play tricks on my opponents!”

As Pish Posh listened, he thought he could hear some deliberate mumbling, and saw quite a few paws being crossed behind the backs of the Champions.

“And don’t think you can get away with mumbling!” said the Mouse. “Rule 1: you must take the oath! If you don’t take it you are out, and if you break it you’re out. I’ve got you both ways!” Pish Posh suppressed a laugh as he noticed Sam the Turtle rolling his eyes. “May the Fast and Furriest pets win!” said the Mouse.

Episode 7/29: The gun went off and the competitors moved down the lanes as quickly as they could. None could move quite as fast as Torpedo. In fact Torpedo doesn’t seem to have to work hard at all to win. Could this be because of the aid of a hidden submarine?

Episode 8/29: Today’s event was taking place in open waters. The crowd packed the sidelines and marveled at the contestants' abilities. A short time later, things became rather topsy turvy as Torpedo flipped the turtles onto their backs as she swam past. Oh no, not more cheating!

Episode 9/29: Penguins love fish right? And if they can have fish, they will eat it rather than do anything else, right? Unfortunately, their love of fish played right into Nautilus’s flippers! Because Nautilus decided the best way to cheat was to bring buckets of fresh fish. The contestants would eat so much that they would not be able to move, let alone dive.

Episode 10/29: The diving is so exciting to watch. Three, two, one, go! Let’s try again. Three, two, one, go! Oh dear! Nautilus has been a little more than unfair. He has placed blow-up killer whales around the pool, to put the penguins off their dives.

Episode 11/29: Lots of little faces peered through the bus window, blinking and confused. There must be a detour and we have to go a different way to the stadium they assured each other. Hjalmar, on the other hand, was racing to the stadium so he could be on time to compete. Snickering to himself, he believed no one would be able to figure out that he had bribed the bus driver to take the competitors away from the stadium. Yippee, I am going to win!

Episode 12/29: At the start of the long hop run is a cushion that you may step on to mark the beginning of the hop. Hjalmar somehow managed to put springs under it to give him added bounce. This didn’t go unnoticed however, and Horse galloped off to inform Flounder. Meanwhile, Pouchahontas decided to inspect the cushion and take photographs as proof, with the camera in her pouch.

Episode 13/29: Hjalmar went high. Hjalmar went long. Hjalmar had a lot of help. When he had finished competing, he turned to the other competitors and told them that they too were permitted to use frogs and that he would kindly provide them. Well it seemed easy enough after watching Hjalmar with his giant leap, but for some reason, these frogs didn’t want to get off the ground. How ever did Hjalmar get his to work?

Episode 14/29: Waylon and Juniper sat amongst the crowd. There was suspicion that someone was cheating in the long hop events and they hoped to figure out just who it was. It became glaringly obvious when they saw Hjalmar use rocket boosted bagpipes to give him an added advantage, while the other contestants sat patiently waiting their turn at the start gate. Hjalmar was caught cheating, but everyone had to admit that he did look rather graceful as he flew through the air.

Episode 15/29: While Hjalmar entered through the side door of the stadium, none of the other competitors had arrived. As he peered out the window, he could see far down the road leading to the stadium, a heap of rabbits wondering just how they could pass the foxes standing guard. Pish Posh decided Hjalmar really did want to win, no matter what!

Episode 16/29: There is nothing cuter than a sleeping bunny and these snoozing rabbits all need to get up early to compete in the long hop. While they are all dreaming of lush fields of carrots and other suitably crunchy and tasty foods, there is an intruder. Oh no! Hjalmar sneaks into their dormitory and puts back all their clocks so they arrive at the event too late. There will be only one winner that day and we don’t need three guesses who it will be.

Episode 17/29: There is a time limit between contestants in the long hop. Hjalmar was first in line and does a fair hop. The clock ticked over and one by one no other contestants appeared ready for their hop. Funny that, Waylon and Juniper agreed. Hjalmar was at it again, this time organising a free ice cream delivery just at the start of the contest.

Episode 18/29: Look at Hjalmar. What a wonderful example of generosity he is. He hands out new shoes to all the competitors and they gratefully put them on their little paws. He gleefully completes his long hop and his distance is not too shabby. However, when each of the competitors’ hops are well short, Hjalmar knows that putting extra heavy weights in those shoes was a brilliant idea on his part. Hjalmar doesn’t realise there are many eyes on him, watching his every move, and it seems those eyes know.

Episode 19/29: Pouchahontas witnessed Hjalmar planting carrots on the track to divert the competition, so she bounded off to tell horse. They agreed that this activity was definitely cheating, but short of informing Flounder, they really didn’t know quite what to do about it. How can you have a long hop event, when the track is littered with rabbits, carrots and holes? The crowd looked on expectantly as Hjalmar stood proudly waiting for his long hop results.

Episode 20/29: There was chaos at the long hop event. Rabbits were scattered in all directions. What was going on? Puzzled, the crowd watched while Hjalmar organised for the competitors to hide eggs for the Easter bunny, ensuring he was the only contestant. All was not lost though, because eventually the contestants got to eat the yummy chocolate eggs. As for the long hop, well there is always next year...

Episode 21/29: While Hjalmar takes a flying leap in the long hop, no one else seems to be lined up waiting for their turn. Meanwhile, Juniper and Waylon notice a lot of activity near the start of the event. Sure enough there is a line-up of rabbits, but instead of getting ready for the event, they are lining up for tulips from a tulip vendor. Everyone knows that rabbits can’t resist tulips. Since Hjalmar is the only rabbit not in that line, he is the obvious choice to have hired the vendor. Pish Posh wastes no time before running off to inform Flounder!

Episode 22/29: Contestants were disqualified at the long hop because they were hopping about all over the place. Instead of distance, they were bopping around on the start line, like they each had ants in their pants. Of course, Hjalmar was permitted to do his hop since he was the only one behaving himself. He was cheating again! The crew were hiding in the bus and they watched Hjalmar put disco music on the sound system, and this is what had caused the competition to have dancing feet.

Episode 23/29: Pouchahontas, Horse, Juniper and Waylon can’t believe their eyes. After considerable investigation and a few tip offs, they arrived at the county jail to find all the competitors in the long hop behind bars. Hold on a minute, one of the competitors isn’t locked up and low and behold they overhear Hjalmar chuckling under his breath about having planted performance enhancing carrot juice on the competitors. It was he who told the authorities to lock them up. Pish Posh feels that Hjalmar will do just about anything to win!

Episode 24/29: Nope, you are white and so are you. Nope you are grey and well you are definitely not brown. There were water works and looks of utter disbelief as, one by one, rabbits were rejected as they tried to enter the long hop contest. Horse got as close as possible to the officials stand to figure out what was going on, only to see Hjalmar hand over a pot of gold and then hear the official announce that there was a change of rules and that only BROWN rabbits can enter the contest. A blatant case of bribery, thought Pish Posh

Episode 25/29: The Fast and Furriest Games were all over bar the prize giving. The team had collected a vast dossier of information. It was all Pish Posh could do to remember all the details when he reported back to Flounder with the rest of the team.

Episode 26/29: The Mouse in Trousers was disappointed that the Champions had won all the events. "Still," he said to himself, "at least I forced them to win honestly. That's all that matters."

"Wait a minute!" said Flounder. "I have in my fins a vast dossier listing countless ways in which these pets have CHEATED!"

The Mouse was overjoyed. "Rule 1!" he cried. "No cheating!"

"We mumbled the oath!" replied the Champions. "We never took it!"

"Rule 1 also says you can't compete if you didn't take the oath!" said the Mouse triumphantly. "You're not only disqualified, you are under a life time ban from any event held by me!"

The Champions exited the stage, moaning and groaning.

Episode 27/29: “But what shall I do with the race cars?” wondered the Mouse in Trousers.

“Is it too late to have a Rule 2?” asked Flounder. “Not if Rule 2 says it isn’t too late,” replied the Mouse. “Rule 2; rules can only be added before the prizes have been given, and snoopers get cheats' prizes!” said Flounder.

The Mouse was overjoyed. Each of the team stepped forward to receive a race car, even though the Mouse had to get an extra one for Pish Posh.

Episode 28/29: Back at the Club House, Sam the Turtle was incandescent.

“**** the Mouses’ rules!” he yelled. (He was having some trouble with the swearing filter). “I say again ****! What are the rules of the Power Pets Sports Club?”

The Champions looked crestfallen, but had to reply: “There is only one rule: never get caught.”

“****, ***** and ******!” roared Sam. “You’re all fired!”

Episode 29/29: It was a happy day for Flounder. As Pish Posh prepared to drive home, Flounder had another surprise for him. “When I saw the look on the Champions’ faces, I knew it had been worth all those gems. Far more, just to see them thrown out. Here’s your questly bonus of 20 GM; you deserve it!
