Sir Waddlesworth and Lady Aelfgifu are excited to find out what is in store for them in the Autumn Experience! As they enter, they each receive a free map! It reads:
Fall Fairground North
All the fun of the fair is here to provide your pet with entertainment and thrills, from waterslide to big wheel. And has your pet a strong enough stomach for a death-defying rollercoaster ride? To help restore your pet's equilibrium after all the excitements of the fairground rides, there are stalls selling hot potato snacks, popcorn, toffee apples, candy and delicious cakes and other yummy delights made from the autumn harvest produce! We hope everypet will leave clutching at least one of the fun carnival novelties!

Oliver and Sir Waddlesworth bumped into each other at the food stand. “Granny used to make this for us when we were young,” said Oliver. “I wonder if this will be as good?”

Fairings is the traditional name for edible souvenirs sold at fairs throughout England. These ginger fairings became associated with Cornish fairs and are still popular in the region.

Roskaizan got carefully down from the ride, stumbling slightly and holding tightly onto the sides. "I say, you do look a bit green, Roskaizan, old thing!" said Sir Waddlesworth. "I'm reminded of when you got seasick on our Crocodile Creek trip!"
"I was not seasick," said Roskaizan with dignity. "I had merely eaten something that disagreed with me."

Sir Waddlesworth encountered Nermal Stingray at the fairground. “Have you been on this ride yet, Nermal Stingray?” asked Sir Waddlesworth. “It’s quite an experience!”

Big wheel installations became an icon of World's Fairs and Exhibitions and an example at Earl's Court in London erected in 1894 expressed fine engineering combined with opulence. Meanwhile, across the Pond, George Ferris led the way in big wheel design.

Choose a name, just about to board the next ride, paused and looked around the fairground. "I was just wondering if they had one of those nice, gentle rides where you sit in, you know, giant teacups," she said wistfully. Sir Waddlesworth grinned. "C'mon, Choose a name, this ride should be on your bucket list! Not that you're going to kick the bucket for many years yet!"

“Hello again, Sir Waddlesworth!” called Kia. “Do you want to join me on this ride?”
“You bet—let me just finish my ice cream!” Kia waited while Sir Waddlesworth had the last lick of ice cream and munched the last inch of cornet, then they excitedly queued up for the ride!

Hair-raising Roller Coaster
The world's oldest roller coasters descended from specially constructed hills of snow in the gardens of palaces around the Russian capital, St Petersburg, in the 18th century. The slides were built to a height of between 70 ft - 80 ft (21-24 m), had a 50 degree drop. These slides became popular with the Russian upper class."Russian mountains" remains the term for roller coasters in many languages, such as Spanish (la montaña rusa), Italian (montagne russe), and French (les montagnes russes). Ironically, the Russian term for roller coaster, "amerikanskie gorki", translates literally as "American mountains."

“Wheeeee-eeeee-eeeee!” screamed Kalila and Sir Waddlesworth in unison as they descended, very rapidly indeed, from the highest point of the ride!

As sunset falls, you enjoy the ever-changing view as you chug a little further upwards and then pause as each pod takes on its precious cargo of pets eager to enjoy the ride. Then when all the pods are full, the wheel starts to turn, building up speed!
