Episode 1/25

@ Tunnel of Maple Trees
Ruby and ~meepop~ are excited to find out what is in store for them in the Autumn Experience! As they enter, they each receive a free map! It reads:
Autumn in Amber
Autumn has well been described by Keats as the "Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness" and pets will here enjoy a ramble through woods with tumbling golden and orange leaves. They can gather hazelnuts, horse chestnuts and fruits, and perhaps forage for mushrooms and dill. Then there are vast fields of wild flowers to explore, and an opportunity to admire the sunset while resting by a rustic barn. Watch your paws or claws crossing the river on the stepping stones—but perhaps splashing in the swirling water is part of the fun!

As you near this autumn realm and hear the thunder of the falls close by, you get to walk through a vividly colorful tunnel of maple leaves with the light of the evening sun at the tunnel's end to attract you further.

“I’ve written a postcard to Mrs Eucalyptus about this amazing Autumn Experience!” said Ruby. “She’ll wish she were here! Where’s the nearest postbox?”
Cutsiebebe shielded his eyes and rotated 360°, elaborately scanning the horizon. “I don’t know how it comes about, but they appear not to have thought to provide a postbox here, Ruby. How remiss of them!” Seeing Ruby’s ears beginning to droop, Cutsiebebe added, “Don’t worry, you can post your card after this leg of the Experience!”

As you step out of the tunnel of fall-colored leaves, you are greeted with even more beauty to behold as you see flowers silhouetted by the setting sun. Now you know that the day's journey is almost done!

@ Sunset Across the Field

As you look further past where you are now standing, you see a vast farm field to cross with welcoming trees and hillsides awaiting.

Episode 4/25

@ Picture of the Tunnel of Trees
Jewels shook paws with Ruby and was just enjoying the view when she was distracted by loud rustling as Ruby unfolded a very lengthy Autumn Experience itinerary, in the course of which she succeeded in knocking Jewels’s hat off. “Put that away, do!” snapped Jewels. “I’m about to take a photo of this amazing scene—the picture will be of your map if you don’t fold it up pronto!”

You pause for a moment to make sure that the pictures you've been taking of your breath-taking journey today have been capturing what your eyes have been seeing. Even though there is so much beauty for just two eyes to take in, you are pleased with your photos thus far, especially of the light at the end of the tunnel of maple trees!

@ Handful of Horse Chestnuts
Ruby was excited by seeing all the different harvest produce. “I’m going to apply for an allotment and start growing my own food!” he announced to Midnight, when they met and shook paws.

Not only were you enveloped with maple trees, but you also saw some chestnut trees mixed within, and so you grabbed a handful of chestnuts as a souvenir!

@ Bouquet of Fall Flowers
“You know, Cicero said 'If you have a garden and a library you have everything you need',” mused Mulrey.
"I don't think I've met Cicero," said Ruby. "Is he on this tour?"

As you left the woods, with another tree line to your left, you noticed some large blooms of wildflowers along the edge of the trees, and so you picked a few to spruce up your room when you settle in later in the evening.

@ Fragile Flowers
Ruby had to travel on alone, as Mollie declared she had found paradise, and had no intention of moving on!

@ White Rose and Pink Daisy
“What’s this flower called?” Ruby said to Peanuts. “Er—I only know the Latin name for it,” said Peanuts and hastily changed the subject.

With all of the flowers you are admiring, you almost forgot the ones you picked up in the autumn realm of green that morning. You check to be sure they are still fresh - and they are! - and remember that you have a note to fill out for tonight's host.

@ Wild White Mushrooms
TenderTeddy and Ruby counted out their silver moles and bought some of the harvest food. “That one wins first prize for me!” declared TenderTeddy.

Continuing on the path, you notice along the tree line something white. Not sure if you were seeing flowers, you approach and find that they are wild mushrooms, the edible kind, and so you grab a few to add to a possible stew later in the evening!

@ Path Covered by Fallen leaves
Ruby and Shelby shook paws, then looked around in awe, wishing they hadn’t already eaten their lunch! This was the most perfect place for a picnic!

“Isn’t this amazing, Hester?” declared Ruby. “I’m seeing so many flowers and shrubs that I’ve never seen before!”

Ruby was very happy to meet Laila Lu here! They both swapped tales of their experiences of their travels so far!

As you look to your left, with the waterfall thundering to your right, you see how swiftly the river runs past you as you ensure you have enough stepping stones to get across. One wrong step and you may be staying somewhere further south than you planned!

“Great to meet you again, Minerva!” said Ruby. “Come and have some of this farm-grown organic food—it’s absolutely yummy!”

As you settle in on your second rock in your river crossing, you remember that your host from last night in the autumn realm of green gave you fresh oranges plucked right off of a tree in their own backyard! Time to get refreshed!

@ Fallen Leaves Floating By
While Ruby stood drinking in the amazing view, PluttiPott searched in his backpack for his camera, eager to capture the scene!

As you make your way to the next rock, you noticed flower blooms and leaves floating by. The leaves may have fallen from trees and were blown into the water, perhaps before the waterfall. You stretch out your paw and snag a twig of orange-colored leaves to stick out of your backpack!

@ Plucked Flowers Floating By Too!
“Isn’t this amazing, sprout?” declared Ruby. “I’m seeing so many flowers and shrubs that I’ve never seen before!”

After you cross to your next rock, with the shore almost within reach, you decide to add to your collection of souvenirs by grabbing some of the plucked blooms floating by and wrapping them in paper for safe keeping. These were put in the water by young pets in the autumn realm of green, hoping they would float and float for a long distance.

@ Plenty of Nuts
“I’m going to try growing these at home!” announced Ruby, after she and Jewel had tucked into some yummy organic harvest food!

As you jump and thump from rock to rock, you check your supply of hazelnuts after noticing you hadn't closed your container as well as you thought! Whew! Most are still there!

@ Red and Yellow Flower
Morri and Ruby shook paws and then they both admired the magnificent floral display beside them.

As you land on the last rock, you notice a huge bloom coming your way on the water. It bumps into the rock, making it an easy grab with your paw!

@ Almost there!
Ruby tumbled out of the Autumn Experience tourist bus, almost flattening Tester 3 in the process, then she wondered where the muffled groans were coming from!

As you step onto the shore, you continue to enjoy the sunset and notice the host home close by! What a welcome sight after a long, but joyful day of hiking into a new realm!

@ Meadow of Yellow Flowers
"Choose a name, just take a look all around you and breathe deeply! Get that good fresh air in your lungs! Does it get any better than this?" asked Ruby, who had just met Choose a name at this Autumn Experience stop.

With the waterfall and river now roaring on your right, the gentleness of the sunset upon a meadow of yellow flowers, which appear to be even more yellow from the sun's rays, calm your soul as you near your goal!

Ruby had to travel on alone, as Starlite declared she had found paradise, and had no intention of moving on!

On your left is another tree line through which you see some of the last rays of the sun poking through the fall leaves. This makes you feel even more relaxed!

@ Green Leafed Plant
"I think I'll take a cutting of the plant in that tub over there," said Ruby. The label says it's 'vigorous' and 'fearless'."
Bear sniffed. "That's gardeners' talk for 'an invasive species that will take over your entire garden if permitted'!"

As you pass this patch of growth, you pluck a few sprigs in hopes of decorating up the doorway or the table of the home where you'll lay your head down soon.

@ Ginger and Lemons
Inspired by the sunny day, Khisanth said, “Wouldn't it be fun to work on the harvest?”
Ruby took a more pragmatic view. “You’d have to be up before dawn every day and work for 12 hours practically non-stop!”
Khisanth hastily revised her romantic harvest vision.

Next, you encounter bins of ginger and lemons, left by your host - perfect for the bread you plan to bake, as well as for the delicious tea you hope to make in the morning!

“I hope we can buy more of this at our local farmer's market,” observed Ruby, as she and fiffy tucked into a delicious food sample!

Ruby is enjoying the Autumn Experience when Koolio Sun comes along. "Look! A special prize!" says Koolio Sun. Ruby looks down and sees something valuable. Koolio Sun generously lets Ruby keep it!
