Spirit and Darla are excited to find out what is in store for them in the Autumn Experience! As they enter, they each receive a free map! It reads:
Fall Fairground North
All the fun of the fair is here to provide your pet with entertainment and thrills, from waterslide to big wheel. And has your pet a strong enough stomach for a death-defying rollercoaster ride? To help restore your pet's equilibrium after all the excitements of the fairground rides, there are stalls selling hot potato snacks, popcorn, toffee apples, candy and delicious cakes and other yummy delights made from the autumn harvest produce! We hope everypet will leave clutching at least one of the fun carnival novelties!

Spirit came up to the snackbar where the vendor was just handing over a very large portion to star. "Gosh, star, you're like those ravenous guinea pigs in Meadowlands! I'd never seen animals eating with such diligence before!"

Suri was at the end of the queue for food when Spirit joined her. “It’s been a long time since lunch!” said Spirit.

Fairings is the traditional name for edible souvenirs sold at fairs throughout England. These ginger fairings became associated with Cornish fairs and are still popular in the region.

Mittens got carefully down from the ride, stumbling slightly and holding tightly onto the sides. "I say, you do look a bit green, Mittens, old thing!" said Spirit. "I'm reminded of when you got seasick on our Crocodile Creek trip!"
"I was not seasick," said Mittens with dignity. "I had merely eaten something that disagreed with me."

“Hey, Sir Fluffle Bottom!” called out Spirit, as they shook paws. “This is quite a change from Snow Beach, isn’t it? I thought I’d got frostbite there! Here, have some of this yummy snack.”

“That should keep me going till I get home tonight,” said ScaryHairy to Spirit, while crumpling his used food container and placing it carefully in a litter bin.

Sam hesitated as he and Spirit approached the next ride. "I don't know, Spirit, it makes me feel a bit scared!"
"Would you say it was on a par with coming face-to-face with those wolves suddenly in the Labyrinth?" asked Spirit cheerfully. "Look, you don't have to do it if you don't want; you can watch me go round and then decide."

The world's oldest roller coasters descended from specially constructed hills of snow in the gardens of palaces around the Russian capital, St Petersburg, in the 18th century. The slides were built to a height of between 70 ft - 80 ft (21-24 m), had a 50 degree drop. These slides became popular with the Russian upper class."Russian mountains" remains the term for roller coasters in many languages, such as Spanish (la montaña rusa), Italian (montagne russe), and French (les montagnes russes). Ironically, the Russian term for roller coaster, "amerikanskie gorki", translates literally as "American mountains."

Dragondrop and Spirit watched the antics on the waterslide as they stood in the line of pets waiting to board the next ride. "Remember when Foxy leant too far over the bridge in Meadowlands that time, and fell in the pond with a huge splash?" asked Spirit. "My stomach muscles ached from laughing for days!"

As sunset falls, you enjoy the ever-changing view as you chug a little further upwards and then pause as each pod takes on its precious cargo of pets eager to enjoy the ride. Then when all the pods are full, the wheel starts to turn, building up speed!

“Hi, Bella!” called out Spirit. “I’ll be having some of that too, only I’m going to have at least two goes on every ride first!
