Archie is questing! Episode 1/25

"Why goose morning, Gigi!" said Archie, "er, I mean GOOD morning!"
"Good morning to you, silly goose, who have you got here today, Archie?"
"Why, this is Flounder, who is ready for retirement, and needs your expertise in navigating the new leg, er.... fin, of his journey."
"Well, Archie you brought him to the right place, you know I know all there is to know!" And Gigi ruffled her feathers and took a good look at Flounder and bobbed her head hello!

Archie is questing! Episode 2/25

"Watch OUT! What are you doing! Don't put the newspaper in my bowl, just set it beside it so I can read it!" Yelled Flounder
"So sorry! So sorry! There is no need to yell, why, we barely lost a tablespoon of water! I'll go get you more from the water cooler, it'll be nice and refreshing."
"Fine, fine, fine! I guess I shouldn't be upset, you don't know what you don't know, right?" and with that Flounder laughed.

Archie is questing! Episode 3/25

Gigi, having refilled Flounder's bowl, thought maybe it would be best to take a walk around the NPC complex grounds. So they packed up and decided to discuss all Flounder's retirement options. Ever the practical fish, Flounder proudly showed off his retirement portfolio, full of a store of Golden Moles, Frank N Cents, and Silver Moles. Gigi has consulted many potential retirees, but she must admit to Flounder, she's very impressed with his planning!

Archie is questing! Episode 4/25

Strolling? Flying? Swimming? through the little grotto near the NPC complex, Gigi and Flounder were enjoying the summer music concert on the plaza when Flounder, feeling a bit tired of hearing about incessant retirement homes, assisted living condominiums, travel options, cruises around the globe, gloms onto a fantastical rainbow bean. Amazed that someone would just casually leave such an unusual bean just laying about, Flounder fins it up, and Gigi is shaking her tail feathers in beat to the music! Why, that's Pebbles and her band! But she also grabs up an aubergine bean, whatever could these be?

Archie is questing! Episode 5/25

Flounder thinks that perhaps he should try gardening, and with some help from Gigi, who is surprisingly good with a garden spade, plants the strange beans they came upon. Watering not only the beans but a double dose for him over the gills and fins, now it's only a matter of time to see if these are seeds that will germinate or perhaps they were a snack? Boy, that would just stink, if he planted some delicious snack, wouldn't it?

Gigi, coming back to check on Flounder, is surprised to see that not only was he successful in planting the beans, but that there is already a huge stalk growing up rapidly, screaming skyward!
"Flounder! Flounder! Look at that! What have you grown? You'll be in all the trade magazines with your new species find!"
Not willing to admit that he didn't know what the beans were, Flounder told a little white lie. "Why, of course I knew they would grow a beanstalk! Why anyone who knows anything knows that"
Gigi just turned her beak and rolled her eyes.

Archie is questing! Episode 7/25

"You know, Flounder, there might be a new world worth discovering and learning about up that beanstalk! My granny Gigi who I was named after, used to tell of magical lands that were at the top of beanstalks!"
Flounder, excited for once, imagines all the inquiring and knowledge as yet uncatalogued that he might find, suggested to Gigi that maybe they could get to the top of the stalk by attaching helium balloons to a small cottage and floating to the top.
Gigi, having seen that movie, tells Flounder that there is a shortage of helium at the moment and that they are just having to go the old fashioned way, one feather over the other! Or in Flounder's case, one fin over the other!

"Not so tight! You're choking me! Loosen your fins!" gasped Gigi, once they reached the top of the beanstalk. Breathing a gasp of fresh air, Gigi is amazed that Granny's stories were TRUE!
Flounder, letting go of Gigi, is incredulous at the new world before them, and that he doesn't need to be in water! Why this is really a magical land!

Archie is questing! Episode 9/25

Gigi and Flounder follow the strange bobbing lights from the beanstalk, enjoying his new found freedom from water, Flounder is madly taking notes and trying to learn all he can! Gigi, seeing a gate up ahead, hopes the inhabitants of this realm are friendly! She preened her feathers out, and discovered nestled in her pin feathers, an invitation! She's pretty sure that she hadn't put it in there or actually seen it before, but her instincts tell her she should show it to the ogre coming up to the gate to greet them.

The ogre, who's name is Wilson, takes them through the security gate. Flounder wonders if Wilson is a first name? Last name? A volleyball? Why this might be the mystery he can work on during his retirement!

Presenting Flounder with all the perks and bonuses of living in the Cloud City, Wilson is trying desperately to find the one perfect thing. Flounder is starting to feel like his brain is on overload! Magic Beans, a new city! A talking ogre, oh my! One thing Flounder IS sure of, he's staying!

Archie is questing! Episode 12/25

All these new things to hear about, learn about have left Gigi and, particularly, Flounder, famished. Gigi is pleased that Flounder seems to be enjoying his adventure in the new Cloud City, and hopes this might be his new "Gig" during retirement!
Flounder, pretty sure this will be his new retirement home, hopes the food tastes as good as it looks, this will seal the deal!

Archie is questing! Episode 13/25

While Flounder is excited for a new learning adventure, he bid Gigi and Wilson sayonara (his word for the day, it was on the calendar Scaredy gave him for Christmas), he's off to enjoy retirement!

Gigi mentioned to Wilson that she was now in need of a new NPC. Wilson, ever helpful, takes Gigi down to the wine cellar, and introduces her to Orlin, the Screech Owl. Orlin has been floundering down here in the wine cellar, knowing that he's been destined to things greater than making sure the corks are snug in the wine barrels. Gigi, enjoying conversations with both Wilson and Orlin, hires Orlin on the spot. Taking a huge flight of faith, Gigi hopes this was a good decision.

Waiting impatiently for the HR program to load on her computer, Gigi is going over the job expectations with Orlin, carefully explaining that there is work that needs done, as there are some older NPCs who have been hanging on at the company, who's job is, well, she dares to say, pointless? Or rather unknown? Orlin, happy to be not only hired for a new position, but in a new city, can't wait to prove himself worthy of such a prestigious title as NPC. He figures at some point Gigi will tell him what that stands for...........

Suddenly, Hubert, one of those NPCs that Gigi just for the life of her can't figure out what he does here in the company other than draw a paycheck and eat all the good snacks out of the break room, saunters in.

Archie is questing! Episode 15/25

Hubert, oblivious to Gigi's dislike for him, and his snack stealing ways, tells her that he's ready to retire. Gigi, silently wonders how you can retire from something when you never worked, but keeps her bill quiet. "Why, Hubert, that's wonderful! I have the perfect retirement place for you! I just got Flounder all settled in there, would you be interested in seeing it?" she asked.
Hubert, scamming food off people's plates when they go through the sidewalk cafe, has Gigi's feathers ruffled! How could he? She grabbed up his suitcase and is squawking loudly to move along!

While climbing up the beanstalk, Hubert paused frequently, as any strenuous movement apparently is more movement than he can handle. Pretending that he's not really tired, Hubert just keeps nibbling leaves on the stalks, catching his breath. Gigi, can't believe Hubert is beyond the pale, and she's toting his suitcase! Applying her yoga breathing to this situation, Gigi hopes she's home in time to get her goslings off the bus! But at Hubert's pace, it'll be a tight run! Or would that be flight?

The sun was long behind the horizon by the time Gigi and Hubert waddled up to the gate, and Gigi called out to Wilson. The ogre laughed and responded that Wilson was off duty, she was Wilsonia, his twin sister. Gigi laughed, talk about identical twins! Wilsonia, a great hostess, was very polite about the late hour, and listened to Gigi explain that Hubert was here for a job. Hubert, who was busy wondering when they were going to eat again, missed what Gigi said. Gigi, disgruntled she missed not only getting the kids, and cooking them dinner, but also putting them to bed, decided that Hubert needed a job, not a retirement. Wilsonia, clapped gleefully, and said Perfect! I have just the thing!
Hubert, thought the ogre was talking about dessert and nodded vigorously in agreement, and said "I can't wait!"

Archie is questing! Episode 18/25

Wilsonia took the duo to the nursery, and Hubert looked around, and wondered if they thought he was going to fit sitting at the kids' table to have dessert. He let out a big belch, those beanstalk leaves weren't sitting too well. Seeing a half-eaten cookie on the chair near him, he quickly (well quick for Hubert speed) grabbed it and popped in his mouth. Gigi, watching the whole thing, gagged a little.

Hubert noticed while Gigi and Wilsonia were talking that there was a tiny version of Wilson and Wilsonia asleep in a toddler bed. At that moment, Hubert's heart grew three times bigger than it'd ever been before and a slow smile crept up quickly! Gigi and Wilsonia were astounded, as they watched Hubert's transformation washed over him. "What's the little one's name?" he asked in a voice that held love in it already.
"That's little Wilsonrina, our first born! She's 2 years old now, and needs a nanny as the last 4 ran off yelling, she's very rambunctious, and needs a good strong hand to guide her and keep her safe. Do you think you're up to the job, Hubert?" asked Wilsonia.
"YES, oh, yes! Please! I would love the job!"

Archie is questing! Episode 20/25

Hubert, excited to have a job, well, a job that he actually wanted to do. When Wilson and Wilsonia talked to him about his job duties and his pay, Hubert refused to be paid. He was happy to be a nanny, and when Wilsonria woke up, Hubert bundled her up and put her in the pram and they took a walk around the neighborhood. Hubert had a fleeting thought about where Gigi had gotten off to, but Wilsonria spit up a little and Hubert forgot all about Gigi.

Hubert packed a big picnic to spend the day in the park with Wilsonria, and saw off in the distance Gigi and Wilson talking.
"Wilson, I hate to ask, but by any chance, do you have anyone else who might be looking for a job with our company? I hear that Orlin is on the job and the other NPC's are already impressed with him!"
"As a matter of fact, I just might! How do you feel about Two Can Toucans?" asked Wilson.

Archie is questing! Episode 22/25

Flustered at how very much time Gigi has been up here in Cloud City, she waves goodbye to Wilson, and takes wings with the Two Can Toucan. Wilson forgot to actually introduce them, so Gigi took it upon herself. "Well, nice to meet you Gigi, I'm Brazi!" I'm looking forward to working for you!"
"Nice to meet you took Brazi! Just to clarify, you won't work for me, more like I will work for you". Brazi laughed, and replied, "Gigi, I have been working long enough to know that it's you administrative 'assistants' that really run the entire show!"
"Brazi, I think you and I are going to make a great team!" Gigi said as she gave him a high feather!

Archie is questing! Episode 23/25

Gigi and Brazi are talking compensation packages when there was a squelching noise and Brazi gasped! Gigi yelled "NO! NO! NO!" as she watched the bird slime slink down her computer monitor. Brazi, ashamed, flew quickly to the counter and grabbed up some tissues to clean up his mess. "I am so sorry Gigi! That fart was really a shart! I can't believe that just slipped out like that! Deduct it from my pay to replace a new one!" Brazi was mortified, and Gigi took stock of the entire situation and threw her wings up in the air and laughed/honked and Brazi joined in. "I've got 12 goslings this nest, I've certainly seen worse!", said Gigi.

Brazi was excited when Gigi mentioned that he would be receiving company housing! This new job with the NPCs looks like a good change for him!

Just as Brazi was going to go inside and start checking out the inside of the new house, a sleek limousine pulled up and Pebbles and the Gravel got out, yelling Congratulations! A rare appearance from the uber star Pono, the Phoenix, sent Brazi topsy turvy! "Ahoy!" Pono called out, "Brazi! Congratulations on the new job, the other NPCs knew you'd need to furnish the new home, so here's 20 GM to go shopping with!" Brazi, can't wait to hook up to the wifi and get started on Petamazon! But first he's pretty stoked to listen to his favorite bands!
