The sky is not opening up, but it sure seems that way, with the brilliant flashes of light and the loud crack as the air expands. Get indoors as fast as you can, and keep your pets safe as not many will enjoy the dramatic storm taking place outside.

@ Fluffy Clouds

Navy Flower Power Egg
The first painted eggs came from Mesopotamia, and because eggs were forbidden food during Lent, people painted eggs while Lent was being observed—after Lent, they would eat the eggs on Easter Day.

Beautifully decorated eggs “pysanka” are associated with Ukraine, and the oldest painted egg that was unearthed in northern Ukraine is dated to the end of the 17th century.

Fluffy Clouds
Looking like a whipped-up marshmallow spread in the sky. I propose a day of relaxing, we will find a field and lay down on some grass and look up at the clouds and play a game about what they look like to each of us.

@ Rainbow Over The Grey Sea
“Ooh, it's just starting to get a bit cold, Skippy!” said Musse. “Can you hold my map while I dig out my jumper?"
Skippy good-naturedly took charge of Musse's possessions while she emptied her rucksack of a pack of sandwiches, a Thermos flask, a pair of galoshes, a bag of toffees, a paperback novel, a bottle of mineral water, an address book, some postage stamps, an assortment of different coloured biros, a bottle opener, a couple of old train tickets, a handful of golden and silver moles, a door key, some shopping receipts, a screwdriver, a bottle of multivitamins, a lottery ticket and a selection of rather battered sachets of salt, sugar and tomato ketchup before locating the jumper right at the bottom. This she donned and then Skippy helped her put everything back in her rucksack.
Rainbow Over The Grey Sea
A spectacular rainbow just touching the land. Rainbows and hummingbirds (which are like tiny flying rainbows) bring smiles to all who view them. The science behind what makes a rainbow is interesting but it will never be as much fun as the stories you can dream up to explain that bow of colours in the sky.

@ Balloons In The Sky
Air pollution is measured with the Air Quality Index, or AQI. The lower the AQI, the cleaner the air is. However, if you are outside when the AQI is over 100, it’s about the same as breathing in exhaust from a car all day! Things that cause poor air quality are forest fires and cities with lots of car traffic. If the AQI is higher than 100 you shouldn’t spend too much time outside.
Balloons In The Sky
Some like balloons a lot—some, however, do not. Balloons can be colourful, or have fun saying on them—if you choose to enjoy balloons, please dispose of them safely after, so they don’t pollute the water and land and cause distress for our animal friends.

The moon is playing a game—it has enlisted the help of the clouds, showing its face one moment, then hiding behind a passing cloud.

@ The Milky Way
“What have you got in your rucksack, Stiorra ♡?” asked Skippy. “It looks very full!”
“I’ve come prepared for anything, Skippy,” responded Stiorra ♡. “There’s canvas deck shoes, tennis shoes, flip-flops, sandshoes, walking boots, sandals, loafers—you name it, I’ve got it!”
The Milky Way
The Milky Way Galaxy, with spiral arms outstretched, moves through the cosmos devouring other galaxies—and far into the future, the Milky Way Galaxy will itself be devoured. From our viewpoint on Earth, it appears as a milky band—millions of stars lighting up the deep dark of space.

“Let's just drink in this exhibit, shall we, Skippy?” suggested Marsha, sinking down on a convenient chair.
Skippy agreed it was well worth spending some time there!

The Boeing-Stearman Modle 75 Biplane, radial engine, built during the 1930s-40s and at least 10,626 were built in the U.S.A. This plane was a military trainer aircraft.

"Why do we get sea breezes, Skippy?" queried Charlie the Bear.
Skippy looked baffled. "I don't know, Charlie the Bear! We just do!"
Charlie the Bear read out from the brochure: " 'Sea breezes occur because heat from the sun takes longer to warm the sea than the land, creating a difference in air pressure.' So—there it is."

A gale is officially defined as a wind of between 32 and 63 miles per hour. A wind blowing from 4 to 31mph is a breeze.

This classic Hatz CB-1, 1960s biplane is built from a kit. The CB-1 is a tandem dual-control two-seat biplane with fixed tailwheel landing gear and is powered by a variety of nose-mounted small engines. Steel tube fuselage and tail with wooden wings.

@ A Mystical Place
"The Great Fire of 1666 started in London, on Pudding Lane, in a baker's shop. The baker believed he had put the fire out but in the middle of the night the fire grew and his house was in flames. Pudding Lane is still there today. If you want to visit it, Monument is the nearest tube station. The place where the fire started is also marked by a monument topped by a fiery gold ornament," said Skippy.
"It makes it sound like it's the only monument in London, Skippy!" chuckled Rosie.
A Mystical Place
A small craft sets off on an adventure; the pets are excited and wonder what they will see. Passing through a bank of clouds, the sea and sky change. This is not any place the pets have ever seen before. Were they magically transported to a new planet. Is this a dream, are they all still at home tucked up in bed.
They gaze in wonder at the stars that shine brighter and closer than any stars they are used to; the water is as still as a sheet of glass, the pets want to reach down and grab a star reflection, so solid do they appear.

It is easy to see how one could lose their way when out at sea when the sky and sea are the same colour and there are no other guiding landmarks. Beautiful and peaceful to look upon from a safe and sure place.

Air was considered a “pure” element, but in fact the air that’s all around us is made up of a variety of gases: primarily nitrogen and oxygen, with almost 1% argon and even smaller amounts of carbon dioxide and other elements such as krypton and helium. The composition of air is just right for life on Earth, though.

Skippy and Lady Thea were entranced on reaching this exhibit and eagerly posed for a picture standing on either side!

If you walk across that field and pass that gnarled tree and continue to walk just a bit further, I bet you could touch the moon, maybe even carry it home in a basket—though then what would others do when wanting some moonlight.

The doldrums is a wind-free area around the equator where sailing ships used to get stuck for weeks. Hence the phrase ‘in the doldrums’.

To get around this, they ended up hiring their own fire brigade just in case a fire did start! This is when the first brigade started."

"It was, yes. Any of the insurance companies' fire brigades weren't allowed to put out a fire of a house which was insured with a different company!"

A Day In A Balloon
Oh, what fun! We are all going on a balloon ride—high in the air. The pets have packed their favourite snacks and brought their scarves—in case the air is cool. They are chattering and chirping about what they might see once the balloon is in the air.

A Very Grey Day
There are blustery days and snowy days, but I think this type of day would make a particular little donkey happy. Not everyone will love a grey day—on the bright side—when the sun does break through, it is such a delight that the dim greyness was worth it.

Flowering Branch, Violet
Walking down the street, marvelling at the flowers awakening to the spring warmth. The new buds on trees bloom into a dazzling array of blossoms delighting the senses and gladening the heart. These wonderful violet blooms adorning delicate branches are a welcome addition to the garden.

Bolts of energy, radiating light—flung downward from unseen hands—pierce the land.
